I dont think that there will be any curtailing of Donald Trump as president, he said. "He controls the media, he controls the sentiment [and] he controls everybody. Hes the one who will resort to executive orders more so than [President] Obama ever used them." - Ron Paul

Well they are sort of fake news lately mixed with some occasional non-fake news.

On an entirely unrelated note, would it be ok from Congressional standpoint if secretive agencies now and then got embedded with media outlets at the time and place of their choosing?

You could short, not sure if that is a good idea or not with all the consolidation that is about to occur in the msm.

I would short, but I don't believe for a second that WaPo is the only organization that's getting CIA funding, and I'm not about to gamble stocks in a rigged market like that.

If anyone cares, CNN has a reply up:

I haven't heard so much fumbling around in an attempt to give an explanation since Nancy Pelosi tried to explain the Obamacare bill.

144 upvotes. 1,678 thumbs down. CNN is done. Next?

    Ok, this is truly cathartic.

For all the years of obfuscation, innuendo, and, to top it off, all the Ron and Rand blackouts,

    I approve this message.

It may not be my chosen messenger, and not even for the right reasons, but seeing this done is just satisfying in so many ways.

THat was really fun to watch.... it's like they can't comprehend that they don't hold the reigns of power anymore.... they are being sidelined and ridiculed and shown to be increasingly irrelevant
There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket.

I'm not so sure about that. They do seem to be giving their audience what they want:

The presidential election was very, very good to the cable news networks.

Fox News Channel, CNN and MSNBC garnered astounding viewership growth in 2016 thanks to the unconventional matchup between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Fox News led all basic cable networks this year, with an average of 2,475,000 viewers in primetime – up 36% from last year. CNN jumped 77% (from 732,000 to 1,298,000), and MSNBC leaped 77% (from 596,000 to 1,113,000).
