Rein in the CIA? Let's hope, but that is a tall order.

Cannot be reined in , zero accountability and bottomless pockets . Must be abolished . Intel will need to be given to another arm of govt with layers of accountability ( Navy, Army ) etc

Any attempt to reign in CIA will start WWIII. Be careful what you wish for.
The essential English leadership secret does not depend on particular intelligence. Rather, it depends on a remarkably stupid thick-headedness. The English follow the principle that when one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. They keep up their lies, even at the risk of looking ridiculous.

Maybe so. I only remember him pre election where he had stated that he wouldn't vote for Trump. I must have missed something because to me that would indicate his views toward Trump have changed.

Ron is a Trump skeptic, as are many on the site that bears his name.

haha.. maybe the question should be:
Can the Pentagon (SDA/YPG) Rein in the CIA (Turk/FSA)?

    In today's WaPo...

U.S. military aid is fueling big ambitions for Syria’s leftist Kurdish militia

At a recent ceremony for 250 Arab recruits who had just
completed training with the U.S. military near Manbij,
the newly minted soldiers were told they would be heading not to the Raqqa front lines but to Aleppo,
to confront the rebels backed by Turkey, a NATO ally of the United States.
(uuhhmm yeah.. that'd be the same ones chopping heads & starving Aleppo)

As U.S. Special Operations troops looked on, Abu Amjad al-Adnan,
commander of the Manbij recruits, rallied the soldiers to
"take the fight to the forces backed by “terrorist Turkey.”

U.S. advisers are also present on the ground with the Turkish-backed rebels in Syria,
setting up a scenario in which U.S. Special Operations forces
embedded with opposing sides could confront one another.
This juxtaposition is not new... most of us knew this at LEAST a year ago or more.
Here's the crux: CIA or PENTAGON: WE ARE NOT INVITED. WE ARE ILLEGAL.
Will Trump acknowledge/withdraw illegal embeds and bases from Syrian soil or not?
    Will Pentagon obey?
    Will CIA obey?
Will the White Helmets return our MONEY?

You should be neg repped to oblivion for this. The most positive thing Ron has said about trump is that he likes some of his foreign policy rhetoric but remains cautiously optimistic.

lol... Ron Paul has said no such thing.

I think there is a chance Trump might surprise a few folks and do some good things, and I hope he doesn't do too many bad things.

"Each of us must choose which course of action we should take: education, conventional political action, or even peaceful civil disobedience to bring about necessary changes. But let it not be said that we did nothing." - Ron Paul

"Paul said "the wave of the future" is a coalition of anti-authoritarian progressive Democrats and libertarian Republicans in Congress opposed to domestic surveillance, opposed to starting new wars and in favor of ending the so-called War on Drugs."
