The tweet showed a photo of dozens of men penned in behind barriers in front of the station.

Around 300 men of north African appearance were also taken off a train in another central station and had their identity papers checked.
Juergen Mathis, Cologne police chief, rejected accusations that his officers had conducted "racial profiling", arguing that many of the men detained had acted in an "aggressive" manner.
"I reject such criticism," he told a press conference. "The clear aim was to prevent similar events to those of last year."

The estimated total loss of taxpayer money in the state of Lower Saxony alone
has been put at three to five million euros ($3.2-5.3 million).

In the majority of cases, the scheme was employed by Sudanese refugees
who were applying for benefits within the social welfare system.

The scammers allegedly took advantage of the extreme workload the civil servants were under
who were registering the applications.

The welfare claimants would simply change their appearance
to receive additional documents from unsuspecting social service workers.
The not so sophisticated con met few road bumps,
as the refugees did not have to give their fingerprints
and, since they had no documents,
were identified only from photographs.

My point is, has been, and will continue to be... no, there's no problem with what they did, because if they weren't doing that, they wouldn't be who they are.
They get paid to do this.
It's what they were hired for.

What you see here is a fundamental feature of the job.
If we come to the conclusion that this isn't something they should be doing, then we need to review and rewrite the job description.

for the approaching 'MIDNITE' New Years Eve celebration by:
time, location, gender, age and skin color.
It was a strategy designed to protect the female celebrants
based on last year's outrageous incidents of sexual predation.
Kudos to Cologne.

there were roughly 47,300 asylum cases in 2016, up from 21,300 the year before.
That means the numbers more than doubled
and there's no end in sight for the upcoming year.

"The wait is grueling," he said.
"And it's not just two years.
After that waiting period, the family members abroad
need to apply to come to Germany.
And even getting an appointment for that in a German embassy

The growing number of lawsuits is also a problem for the administrative courts.

He believes that the courts don't have enough personnel
to deal with the exponential work increase.

I admit that I do not understand this dimension of the problem at all. If I were a refugee fleeing a war, I would not sue my host because I wanted them to take on relatives. WTF over? Once everyone is no longer in danger of....you know...dying, then you can set up reunions. Instead these people are going to sue the country that is (allegedly) trying to save their lives? Fk that, if they can't be satisfied with the levels of refugee support being provided I say ship their asses back to the combat zone and let them deal with their own survival.

The most annoying thing about all of this, IMHO, are the the refugees who receive all this aid, and then turn around and spit right in the faces of the people helping them. Fk that. Drop the ungrateful bastards right into the middle of a freakin firefight and call it a night. Buh bye.
