Flint/Magnesium lighters

Just for the outdoorsy/survivalist types.....

Cabela's has some flint and magnesium firestarters on sale for $5.99. These things are great for starting fires in less than ideal conditions. You can keep it on your keychain, and it works in wind, rain, and mud. Just wipe it off and strike..... The sparks burn at 5,400 degrees. That's plenty hot enough to light just about anything in many conditions. It also doesn't run out of fuel (well, after umpteen thousand times i suppose the flint wears down).

It will also ignite thermite......which otherwise takes a blowtorch and magnesium ribbons.....if you're into that sort of thing.
