Broward actually shows as red; its Miami-Dade that is "unusually low" but I think that relates to Miami being more of a cocaine county as opposed to Broward and Palm Beach being "pill mill" counties; which recently converted to heroin after the oxy/roxy crackdown. The heroin then recently became tainted with chinese import fentanyl and carfentanyl; which are the two substances causing the nationwide spike in OD deaths.Originally Posted by opal

I would add that pill deaths are also occurring due to fentanyl and other drugs being used to manufacture counterfeit versions of US pharmaceutical drugs like Norco.
