Thomas has appeared rather stiff in the past. Here he is very relaxed and handled the questions very well. I especially liked the way in which he handled and clarified the truth about the Ryan vote. "Unanimous" doesn't necessarily mean "all".

There is only one correct way: freedom. All other solutions are non-solutions.
It appears that artificial intelligence is at least slightly superior to natural stupidity.
Our words make us the ghosts that we are.
Convincing the world he didn't exist was the Devil's second greatest trick; the first was convincing us that God didn't exist.
nicely done, Congressman.

Good interview. Thanks for sharing it.
He's a better "politician" than I've given him credit for (and I give him a lot of credit). His answer on prayer in school... what was it? It made me happy, but what was his answer? I took it at 1st as him saying "There's no prayer in schools because they're government institutions. It's the parents' job to instill religion in their kids, not the schools or the government. Our founders knew what they were doing when they forbade the State from getting involved in religion. And it's ridiculous that we have a prayer in congress." But after watching it again you could JUST as easily take his answer to mean "There is prayer in Congress and that's not a problem. There SHOULD be prayer in school; our founders knew what they were doing."
I think he did that knowingly. It's not a major issue for him, and coming out clearly on one side or the other could only hurt him.
Or maybe I'm reading too far into this.
The more prohibitions you have,
the less virtuous people will be.
The more weapons you have,
the less secure people will be.
The more subsidies you have,
the less self-reliant people will be.
Therefore the Master says:
I let go of the law,
and people become honest.
I let go of economics,
and people become prosperous.
I let go of religion,
and people become serene.
I let go of all desire for the common good,
and the good becomes common as grass.
