With the election to decide whether Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton will be the next president now only days away, U.S. Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C., said he’s still disappointed with both choices.

“I don't think I have ever seen the disgust as great as it is, as it relates to these two candidates,” Jones, who is seeking re-election to a 12th term in Congress, said in a phone interview Friday.

Jones said Clinton “has got her legal problems” stemming from when she was secretary of state and Trump “too often is saying things that I was raised as a child not to repeat or not to say.”

An independent thinker, Jones declined Friday to say whom he voted for in Tuesday’s election.

“I voted my conscience and I'll leave it at that,” he said.
