Mark Cuban to take his trolling of Trump to the front row of Monday's debate

Mark Cuban to take his trolling of Trump to the front row of Monday's debate

(CNN)When Donald Trump takes the stage on Monday night's prime-time presidential debate, one of the few faces he will see will be that of a fellow billionaire that has tried to savage him in public.

Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, was invited by the Clinton campaign to sit in the front row at Monday night's debate.

"Just got a front row seat to watch @HillaryClinton overwhelm @realDonaldTrump at the "Humbling at Hofstra" on Monday," Cuban tweeted. "It Is On!" A Clinton aide later confirmed that Cuban was, in fact, invited by the Clinton campaign. "He has the best seat we have access to," the aide said.

Cuban has tried to publicly shame Trump throughout the 2016 campaign, regularly slamming the Republican nominee for not releasing his taxes. The attacks have been particularly effective, given Cuban's status as a fellow billionaire and his public persona as a similarly brash businessman.

"He has proven to be singularly effective in making the case against Trump and for Clinton," the aide adds. "That is why we invited him." Cuban endorsed Clinton at a July event in his native Pittsburgh. "Trump scares me," Cuban said after speaking at the event. "Donald, initially, I really hoped he would be something different, that as a businessperson, I thought there was an opportunity there. But then he went off the reservation and went bats--- crazy."

Cuban also said that he had talked to Trump before he endorsed Clinton and urged the real estate mogul-turned-candidate that at some point he had to adapt and learn policy.
"I told him directly, at some point you have to learn, at some point you have to read and that that job is all about uncertainty and if you don't do the work, that is not good for this country," Cuban said. "And he just doesn't do the work."

Recently, Cuban offered Trump $10 million to the charity of his choice if her would sit down for an interview "for 4 hrs on YOUR policies and their substance."

    Very true.
Plus, among those that are aware, I suspect it will take a larger toll on Cuban's rep than on Trump's.

Hard not to support him in his attacks on Trump. Unlike Donald, Cuban is a real successful businessman, not a conman like Trump.

Mark Cuban Says Donald Trump Would Bomb on ‘Shark Tank’ So Fast ‘It Would Make Your Head Spin’

“Name one good deal he’s done,” he asked Extra’s Renee Bargh, who said she couldn’t think of one. “Neither can he. When he talks about his great renegotiations, they’re renegotiations. Tell me if you think this is a good deal: I lose four casinos, they go out of business, but I’m really good at renegotiating the debt of my companies that have already gone out of business. He would get kicked out of ‘Shark Tank’ so fast it would make your head spin.”

However, Cuban had to give Trump some “credit,” albeit backhandedly so, for his campaign.

“It’s rare that you see someone get stupider before your eyes, but he’s really working at it,” he added. “So you gotta give him credit. It’s not an easy thing to do, but he’s accomplished it.”

On Tuesday, Cuban also ribbed Trump on Twitter about his finances after the New York Times reported that Trump has the worst financial and organizational disadvantage of any major party nominee in history.

“If @realDonaldTrump were fractionally as rich as he says he is, he would write a$200mm check to propel his campaign. He doesn’t have the cash,” tweeted Cuban.

A year ago, however, Cuban said that Trump’s presidential bid was changing the game thanks to his tell-it-like-it-is approach.

“Up until Trump announced his candidacy the conventional wisdom was that you had to be a professional politician in order to run,” Cuban said. “You had to have a background that was politically scrubbed. In other words, smart people who didn’t live perfect lives could never run. Smart people who didn’t want their families put under the media spotlight wouldn’t run. The Donald is changing all of that. He has changed the game and for that he deserves a lot of credit.”

In his interview with Extra, though, Cuban suggested Trump hasn’t grown as a candidate.

“At some point, you gotta start learning and understand the issues,” said Cuban. “Donald has been in this a year and you don’t look at him saying, ‘Wow, he’s gotten so much smarter about this topic.’ Instead, we say, ‘What the hell are you talking about?’ That’s not good for America.”

He did not make any money since selling broadband.com to Yahoo! for $1B almost 20 years ago.

Mark Cuban is also the Trump double in Hillary Rotten Clinton debate prep - (since they are about the same (?) in some ways) lol
    - and, Laura Ingram is the fill-in double for HRC in any rare Trump mock debate prep (?) - i.e., if Trump is not gonna just "wing it".

‘The Five’ scoops on debate prep; Trump’s wingin’ it, Mark Cuban, Laura Ingraham stand-in rumor

Bolling added that there are rumors floating around about who both candidates may be using to spar against in mock debates.

“The rumor is that Mark Cuban may sit in as Donald Trump on the Democrat side,” Bolling said.
“And on the other side the rumor is that Laura Ingraham is going to sit down and help Donald Trump out, acting as Hillary Clinton.

Mark Cuban, the con man who was able to sell the always useless and now defunct broadcast.com to yahoo for $5.7 billion dollars. Much respect to his con artistry. I guess it takes a very good con artist to know one.

    You're trying too hard.

Cuban tried to do a reality show that pretty much plagiarized Trump's Apprentice show. It failed miserably, and Trump sent a gloating letter afterward that is quite funny:

I'd say that Cuban's political views are probably closer to mine, but he seems to be doing this and supporting Hillary out of sour grapes which is pathetic.

And this is why people hate Trump. Why would someone do this?

This tells you all you need to know about politics. It is definitely not about ideas but more about aligning your interests and appealing to deeply rooted biases.

He started off selling garbage bags door to door. Yeah, there's nothing con-man-ishy about that.

The Dallas Mavericks owner and tech industry titan told Entrepreneur.com on the set of the popular startup pitch show that he’s gotten fired from “more jobs than most people have had.” He’s also failed to close several key sales deals, has had his credit card rejected and cut up on a date, and he’s opened and closed more businesses than he can count. https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/237843
And now he collects big dollars to sit and snark on Shark Tank while waiting to finance rip off some young entrepreneur's future wealth.

Cuban didn't think Trump was crazy when he offered to be his Vice President:

So you agree that he is a con man right?

He's a huckster, but I have no problem with that aside from the fact that CPUd suddenly thinks his opinion is super important and someone else stated he was a ral business person, while Trump is not. That's just ridiculous.

    They both suck.

I would imagine because Cuban had taken a pot shot at Trump. Because that's Trump's modus operandi. He doesn't go after someone first, but he will respond to someone who does.

It would be funny to have Jennifer Flowers, Monica Lewinsky in a blue dress, and a Vince Foster lookalike, sitting alongside Cuban.

Got it, wasn't quite sure what the selling garbage bags door to door meant but I now see the connection to "door to door" salesman. As for CPUd, I think he would post a quote from the devil if he had something negative to say about Trump, which is unfortunate cos it discredits him a little and takes away from the times that he posts real gems about Trump.

If you people didn't LOL at the shark tank thing, you're probably wound up too tightly and should maybe go outside for a walk while there is still some decent weather.

The article I linked to says his first job was selling garbage bags door to door.

I think it's why people love him, and he did it because Cuban tried to steal his thunder.

Cuban didn't think Trump was crazy when he offered to be his Vice President:
They are both the same kind of arsehole. Cuban might be more successful overall, but kind of lives in Trump shadow when it comes to being a media icon. They've been friends and enemies at different points.

Marky is a total light weight, Trumpster probably can out-troll him with one hand tied to Hillary's stepping stool.

He's not that bright either politically if he thinks that overheating SWC DGP Hillary is better option.

If he really cares about heroes of Benghazi, he should vacate his seat so family members can sit there and ask questions to both candidates.
