Yemeni forces destroy Emirati military vessel: al-Masirah

    (glub, glub, glub...)

A military source said Ansarullah fighters and allied army forces
launched rockets at an HSV-2 Swift hybrid catamaran
    operated by the Emirati navy
off the shores of the Red Sea port city of Mokha early on Saturday,
    al-Masirah television reported.

The catamaran was reportedly a high-speed logistical ship
capable of locating mines, controlling military operations and transporting troops and equipment.
The vessel formerly belonged to the US navy, al-Masirah said.

Houthi forces overwhelms & repels Saudi Army, Hadi loyalist Attack in northern Yemen

MAREB, YEMEN (5:30 A.M.) - The Saudi-led Coalition, alongside the Hadi loyalists,
launched a powerful attack at the village of Sarwah in the Mareb Governorate on Wednesday,
resulting in a fierce battle with the Houthi forces that lasted most of the day.

Despite their best efforts to infiltrate the Houthi defenses,
the Saudi-led forces were ultimately repelled after suffering a significant number of casualties.

In addition to their high death toll, the Saudi-led Coalition
    also lost a lot of equipment during their failed offensive on Wednesday;
this includes several technical vehicles and a large stockpile of weapons.

Video footage of #Saudi soldiers fleeing base amid heavy attack by #Houthi forces

NAJRAN, SAUDI ARABIA (10:10 A.M.) - The Military Media Channel released video footage on Thursday,
showing the Saudi Army and Hadi loyalists fleeing a military base in the Najran Region of southern Saudi Arabia
after a powerful attack by the Houthi forces.

In the video, the Houthi forces show off the weapons and ammunition they seized
from the Saudi-backed forces that fled the site on Wednesday.

With peace talks derailed once again, the Houthi forces and Yemeni Republican Guard
are making another major push for the key city of Najran in southern Saudi Arabia.

    If the Houthi forces capture Najran;
this will be the biggest blow to the Saudi-led Coalition
since the anti-government forces entered Saudi Arabia last year.

(I've seen film after film of Houthis capturing these multi million dollar armored vehicles..
    then...
burning them on the spot. hahaha. They srsly have no 'use' for them. It's just 'dead weight' for them.
A rifle... maybe an RPG... a good pair of sandles... and a mouth full of khat. They're good to go. )

Huge explosion reported in Yemeni capital of Sanaa; scores of casualties feared

An explosion has reportedly rocked Yemen’s capital Sanaa, with pictures of ravaged buildings appearing on social media, including reports the blast was caused by a Saudi-led airstrike.
Images of destroyed buildings, partly still on fire emerged on social media, with some people alleging the devastation has been caused by a Saudi-led coalition strike.

There is however no official confirmation as to what exactly caused the destruction. Yet some people allege that dozens of civilians have been killed and scores injured in the alleged bombardment, witness told Xinhua news agency.

Human Rights Watch has criticized the U.S. government for “making excuses” for the atrocities committed by its close ally Saudi Arabia in its war in Yemen. “Despite rising outrage over the bloody civilian toll in Yemen’s war, the United States administration is showing no signs of breaking with — or attempting to check — the actions of its ally Saudi Arabia,” …

The U.S. has supported the Saudi-led campaign with aerial refueling and targeting assistance without criticizing Saudi Arabia and its allies for repeatedly and unlawfully bombing civilians, committing apparent war crimes,” … “The nature of this support makes the U.S. a party to the armed conflict, and potentially culpable in unlawful strikes.” …

Yemen is on the brink of famine. … More than half of Yemen’s population, at least 14 million people, are going hungry.

Civilian casualties in Yemen bring charges of U.S. responsibility for Saudi actions,” …When faced with criticism, the State Department has frequently reaffirmed its close partnership with Saudi Arabia, a repressive absolute monarchy that bases its laws on an extreme interpretation of Islam known as Wahhabism. …

Saudi Arabia has only been able to carry out the war in Yemen because of U.S. support. … Obama … has offered more than $115 billion in arms deals and military support to Saudi Arabia … In addition to the massive weapons sales, the U.S. has done more than 1,000 refueling sorties for Saudi planes, providing tens of millions of pounds of fuel. And U.S. officials have given targeting advice …

The U.N. has repeatedly reported, however, that the Saudi-led coalition is responsible for most of the civilian casualties. … there have been “no serious investigations” into the atrocities committed in Yemen. In fact, Western allies of Saudi Arabia have blocked multiple U.N. attempts to launch independent inquiries
