I think I'd prefer microrobotic surgery over macro-invasive surgery, regardless of what the robot looks like. I may personally choose to wait until the miniaturization is improved beyond current, but 99% you will have an actual surgeon controlling every movement, and I can only imagine this would be an order of magnitude less invasive and damaging.
