    Wild Wild West? Dad Challenges Daughter to Duel

    Calhan, Colorado. Small town about 800 on the plains of the state.

    Man arrested in Calhan domestic violence shooting

    A man has been arrested after pointing a gun at his daughter and wife during a domestic violence incident Wednesday night, according to a news release from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department.

    Robert Williams told his daughter to get another gun from the house so that the two could “duel,” the release said.

    A struggle between the two ensued, and the father’s gun went off. The juvenile daughter fired a round back in his direction. No one was hit or injured.

    When Williams’ wife and daughter attempted to leave the house, he retrieved a shotgun from a shed on the property, which he proceeded to point at his wife, who grabbed a rifle from the house. She then fled with her children to a neighbor’s house, where she called 911, according to the news release.

    Williams was charged with two counts of felony menacing, prohibited use of a weapon and child abuse.

    Started with argument between Father and Daughter. Dad is 38 but daughter's age not released.

    The article is from June 2. It's looks like a fairly mundane domestic story for the gossip crowd not interested in real news. The article used the single word "duel." Looks like a stretch to say he challenged her to a duel, at least in the "Wild Wild West" spin that the OP tried to put on it. What did he actually say?

    Looks like the forum's most prolific progressive liberal ZippyJuan is doing his usual shilling, finding lame stories from two months ago. I give him the usual one star, terrible thread rating for his inane postings.
