Thread: Are there any an-caps that are not raging racists?

  1. #1

Angry Are there any an-caps that are not raging racists?

Maybe its just New Zealand, but all the local an-cap groups are just full of people who think the NAP will unleash a White-only Utopia.

Where are all the people who want liberties other than the liberty to consign oneself to an economic black-hole?

Like they don't even hide it any more, they think Trump is going to literally commit mass genocide of everyone who isn't white and that this neatly fits within the NAP because it's pre-emptive self-defense.

    What the $#@!ity $#@!.

    End of Rant.
    In New Zealand:
    The Coastguard is a Charity
Air Traffic Control is a private company run on user fees
The DMV is a private non-profit
Rescue helicopters and ambulances are operated by charities and are plastered with corporate logos
The agriculture industry has zero subsidies
5% of the national vote, gets you 5 seats in Parliament
A tax return has 4 fields
    Business licenses aren't a thing
    Prostitution is legal
We have a constitutional right to refuse any type of medical care

An-caps drive me nuts. Not for the reasons that you claim to observe, though, idiom. I don't really mess with them, though. I just let them go about their business so long as it doesn't seem to affect my day. I don't hate them or anything like that.

I don't know how well I'd do on an ideological purity test, but I adhere to ancap philosophy and certainly consider myself not racists (though I'm told that determination is not mine to make).

I think supporting Trump costs one one's ancap card.

As far as black holes, I don't get it.

There for a while I was on the lookout for the most an-capish ancap of all on the board so I could pick a lively debate. Not for the purpose of debate, per se. Merely for the discussion on varying perceptions of fundamental principles and moral foundation. But I just kind of forgot about it.

I would pretend that you are not joking and ask this question, how is anything that was said in the OP racial bigotry?

I would pretend that I am an-cap White Supremacist and posit this: the OP is filled with rage toward my an-cap White brothers who simply want a space in which they can enjoy the fruits of their all White labor.

Only white people want liberty, we know this to be true.

Also, Racism being commonly, currently, defined as phenotypical based oppression/repression through official means, driven by private sentiment, precludes and ancap from being racist, as any ancap worth his salt does not believe in the legitimacy of the state, thus cannot endorse official means of oppression/repression--which is said to be an important part of the definition of racism.

Is Walter Williams racist against himself and his race? (AKA self-loathing black)

His latest of many "racist"/"racialist" articles:
    What Can Discrimination Explain?

    By Walter E. Williams
    July 27, 2016
A guiding principle for physicians is primum non nocere, the Latin expression for “first, do no harm.” In order not to do harm, whether it’s with medicine or with public policy, the first order of business is accurate diagnostics.
Racial discrimination is seen as the cause of many problems of black Americans. No one argues that racial discrimination does not exist or does not have effects. The relevant question, as far as policy and resource allocation are concerned, is: How much of what we see is caused by current racial discrimination?
From the late 1940s to the mid-1950s, black youth unemployment was slightly less than or equal to white youth unemployment. Today black youth unemployment is at least double that of white youth unemployment. Would anyone try to explain the difference with the argument that there was less racial discrimination during the ’40s and ’50s than today?
Some argue that it is the “legacy of slavery” and societal racism that now explain the social pathology in many black neighborhoods. Today’s black illegitimacy rate is about 73 percent. When I was a youngster, during the 1940s, illegitimacy was around 15 percent. In the same period, about 80 percent of black children were born inside marriage. In fact, historian Herbert Gutman, in an article titled “Persistent Myths about the Afro-American Family” in the Journal of Interdisciplinary History (Autumn 1975), reported the percentage of black two-parent families, depending on the city, ranged from 75 to 90 percent. Today only a little over 30 percent of black children are raised in two-parent households. The importance of these and other statistics showing greater stability and less pathology among blacks in earlier periods is that they put a lie to today’s excuses. Namely, at a time when blacks were closer to slavery, faced far more discrimination, faced more poverty and had fewer opportunities, there was not the kind of social pathology and weak family structure we see today.
Is this a result of racial discrimination? Hardly. The cities where black academic achievement is the lowest are the very cities where Democrats have been in charge for decades and where blacks have been mayors, city councilors, superintendents, school principals and teachers. Plus, these cities have large educational budgets. I am not arguing a causal relationship between black political control and poor performance. I am arguing that one would be hard put to blame the academic rot on racial discrimination. If the Ku Klux Klan wanted to destroy black academic achievement, it could not find a better means of doing so than encouraging the educational status quo in most cities.
Intellectuals and political hustlers who blame the plight of so many blacks on poverty, racial discrimination and the “legacy of slavery” are complicit in the socio-economic and moral decay. But one can earn money, prestige, and power in the victimhood game. As Booker T. Washington long ago observed, “there is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances because they do not want to lose their jobs.”

    You'd have to study it.

Anarcho-capitalism is diametrically opposed to anarcho-leftism (normal-variety anarchism).

Everything they want, we hate. And vise versa.

Well, it's good to know that you, at least, are above making sweepingly vicious generalizations about entire groups of people - and that if you ever did stoop to such, you would certainly never do so on nothing more than an anecdotal basis.

    Oh, wait ...

And I'm curious - if you encountered a bunch of bozos who claimed to be able to square the circle and trisect the angle, and if those bozos went around loudly announcing themselves as "mathematicians," would you regard that as a warrant for anyone to "rant" about the field of mathematics and how mathematicians are all just a bunch of "raging cranks?" If not, why not?

    "What the $#@!ity $#@!," indeed ...

EDIT: Tell me something else - just how many names would one have to list in order to "prove the negative" to your satisfaction? And since you asked for "any," can I name just one in order to get an apology from you for your gratuitous vilification of myself and others as "raging racists?")

Funny to see people on this thread who have been sooooo fervent about property rights be so dismissive of anarcho-capitalism. An-cap is the only proper stance for those who don't recognize the right of anybody to control an individual's cakes.

I think the OP brings up an interesting point. Whites have been most successful worldwide at erecting monolithic, oppressive warfare/welfare states. Maybe we should get them out of the picture so everybody can enjoy greater freedom.
Partisan politics, misleading or emotional bill titles, and 4D chess theories are manifestations of the same lie—that the text of the Constitution, the text of legislation, and plain facts do not matter; what matters is what you want to believe. From this comes hypocrisy. And where hypocrisy thrives, virtue recedes. Without virtue, liberty dies. - Justin Amash, March 2018

It has to do with philosophy. The an-coms don't believe in private property, for example.

Racist has now been reduced to meaning "You do not believe what I want you to, so I must call you names, make you lose your job and punish you until you believe what I want you to". Sorry but 2+2=4 not 5, not now, not ever.
