    Trump Fires Back at Justice Ginsburg: "Her mind is shot - resign!"

    Trump should demand she recuse herself anything that involves Prez T from 2017-2021.

    Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump fired back at Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg after she expressed fear over a Trump presidency in interviews.
    In a tweet, Trump called Ginsburg's public statements in recent days "dumb" and said "Her mind is shot - resign!"

    "He is a faker," she said of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, going point by point, as if presenting a legal brief. "He has no consistency about him. He says whatever comes into his head at the moment. He really has an ego. ... How has he gotten away with not turning over his tax returns? The press seems to be very gentle with him on that."

    Maybe he should just reframe the discussion. "Are these the kinds of remarks a sitting Supreme Court Justice shoud be making?" Then Trump would need to start giving consideration to what he says/tweets, too.

    Why or how could there be law to allow a supreme court justice to acquire that position and keep it as long as they want or until death? Senility, dementia, hysteria, delusions are all real illness.
    If two best friends were excited about entering into a partnership, most people would discourage that idea and if the friends were determined to proceed they would be stupid to do so without an agreement on what happens when they disagree.
    How could the US put someone in that position with little or no recourse?
    Why would anyone want to put someone into a position like that for an indefinite amount of time?

    Theoretically it makes them less subject to politic whims. As we can see here, that's not necessarily the case. After all, they're selected politically.

    Because SCOTUS was never supposed to have the power of Judicial Review. Senility of one Justice would matter a lot less than political indebtedness on the issues of federal justice it was actually intended to rule over. Of course, the intended purpose of the life appointment was to detach them from politics. Given that they produce almost nothing but political opinions anymore, this idea has obviously failed miserably.
