Irony: So-called 'Nobel Peace Prize' winners quashing freedom of expression and choice

The letter called on Greenpeace to "cease and desist" in its efforts to block GMO crops, and on governments to embrace "seeds improved through biotechnology."

"Opposition based on emotion and dogma contradicted by data must be stopped."

    This song comes to mind:

    "Ironic"

    An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
And isn't it ironic... don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
    Who would've thought... it figures

Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
    "Well isn't this nice..."
And isn't it ironic... don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
    Who would've thought... it figures

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up
    In your face

A traffic jam when you're already late
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife
And isn't it ironic...don't you think
A little too ironic...and, yeah, I really do think...

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
    Who would've thought... it figures

Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out
    Helping you out

The most dangerous thing you can do in the immediate future will be to give yourself up unconsciously to the influences which are definitely present.” ~ Rudolf Steiner

"There has never been a single confirmed case of a negative health outcome for humans or animals from their consumption," wrote the top scientists.

The group included 41 Nobel medicine laureates among them James Watson, honoured in 1962 for co-discovering the basic structure of DNA.

One thing I've learned in these forums is that facts don't matter when an agenda is predetermined. That's what makes discussing issues irrevelant.

In the GMO rants, one side presents evidence based facts, the other side uses unfounded conspiracy theories, vandalism*, name calling and scare tactics. Why on Earth would anybody attempt to reason with people who refuse to believe facts?

They are radical leftists, who want the government to distribute the food supply. GMO technology takes the demand for that.

Do organic crops ruin and contaminate genetically engineered crops? No. But GE crops can ruin and contaminate a field of organic crops. Then there is no choice when they are allowed everywhere.
