If that quote were false, Trump surely would have sued and won a libel case against the author. He sues everyone. I read the book a long time ago. It had a lot of things that made Trump look like a sleazeball in it. There were tons of stories like when his casino executives died in a helicopter crash and Trump just made up a story to get extra press about how he was supposed to be with him. If the stories were false Trump would have bankrupted the guy.

Because the bulk of the state's inhabitants belong to a mostly white fringe religious cult that places a high emphasis on faith and family and the Democratic party's avowed anti-religious, anti-family, anti-white stances have pushed them in to the Republican camp. Utah is not a particularly "conservative" state in the way we would use that term. Idaho is far more faithful to small government, Constitutional values and would probably be even more that way if they didn't have a size-able Mormon minority.
