No and hell no. I had thought about going to Salt Lake in early 2001, but the security got really outrageous.

I stopped going to Major League Baseball games since they mandated metal detectors. The only thing useful I learned on DU was that the Washington Nationals won't let you get up and hit the bathroom until the inning is over. Yeah, uh, $#@! you.

I won't go to the NBA, NFL, or NHL for the same anal probe security. I still go to NASCAR because don't have metal detectors. Minor League games are still okay. I also heard that Carowinds (amusement park) just got rid of their metal detectors, so I might go down there this summer.

Nah. I'll watch on NBC, though. (not pulling for any particular team, I just like most of the events. Great performances every games, IMO.)

Why would I want to go to Rio? Isn't that what pay-per-view and free porn sites are for?

It sounds like a disaster from some of the things I've read.. Zika virus fears, major sanitation issues, and the government in rio is already having significant financial problems.. I would steer clear lol.. But yeah I'll watch em at home on tv

Not me. I'd rather drink Franzia and watch the pimple popping dr on youtube. I don't really get the Olympics. I went to a few events when they were in Atlanta and wasn't impressed.

If you learn a few words of Arawakan and Carib you may do well with your beads.

Some events are boring (all the different foot races blur together :P ), but there's some tremendous athleticism to be seen too. Just be selective in events you watch. (Love me some women's volleyball. ) Judo and boxing and Grecco-Roman wrestling are summer events and super kewl, so watch that!

Please don't scar your kids for life. I had a friend in high school. Seniors. In front of me his mom cornered him and picked zits. No lie. At least his dad made up for it by giving him a '67 Mustang on his 18th birthday. I probably would have let mom pick zits in front of company if dad had given me a '67 mustang. But unless Mr. Animal is willing to pony up a classic stop with this obsession. Now.

What little bit of interest in Olympic sport I have is strictly in winter games.

  33. #29
I've been wanting to go to Rio. Not for Olympics, though. I just like South America. I might even move to South America eventually. I actually like South and Latin Americans better than the North Americans.

Heh. Just accept danke as he is. He's funny when you accept his proclivities as idiomatic danke-isms.
