Only a captured government drone could put out a report showing only 38,000 new jobs created, with the working age population rising by 205,000, and have the balls to report the unemployment rate plunged from 5.0% to 4.7%, the lowest since August 2007.

Quite the bad economic news day today.

The number is pretty dismal and below expectations.

Labor force participation rate June, 2015: 62.6%
Labor force participation rate May 2016: 62.6%
(It was as high as 63.0 in March)

I think we should be consistent. The jobs created stat, whether good or bad, is not a good indicator of the state of the economy. Most everyone here will trash the jobs created stat when it's good, but we should be consistent and ignore the bad numbers also. That being said, if you look at all the other data, it's been slowly sinking for the last year and a half or so. Just about the same time frame when they ended QE3 and started talking about raising rates. I don't think it's a coincidence.

30-55 working, and getting paid well!
<30 being abused -either no pay or long hours, not finding jobs, almost like h1bs now.

Northeast stats. Not sure of other parts of country, but going fine here.
