(LA) Senate bill included amendment aiming to limit stripper weight

BATON ROUGE - A Louisiana Senate bill intended to restrict the age of employees at strip clubs included a proposed amendment to limit employed strippers' weights.

The amendment was with withdrawn before the Senate voted on the bill.

The original text of Senate Bill 468 banned strip clubs that served alcohol from hiring dancers under the age of 21-years-old.

According to online records, Rep. Kenneth E. Havard proposed an amendment that would also also limit employees to be "between twenty-one and twenty-eight years of age and shall be no more than one hundred and sixty pounds in weight."

Havard, a Republican, represents portions of East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana and West Feliciana Parishes. He later withdrew the amendment and the bill was passed.

Just another pol looking out for the health and safety of his constituents and the dancing girls. Either you reduce the weight of strippers or you impose regulations to mandate stronger metals and concrete settings for stripper poles. Those stainless steel poles can only handle so much forces before it buckles and harms voters.

Good man, wish I would vote for him

It seems the senator was drunk at a strip joint and decided to follow Old Ernest's advice:
