Trump wants the Fed to keep interest rates low

Trump says he'll replace Yellen, but not because of economic philosophy, just because she's not a Republican.

Yellen "has always been a low interest rate person and I must be honest. I am a low interest rate person," Trump said. "If we raise interest rates and if the dollar starts getting too strong, we're going to have some major problems."

This should work out nicely with his new plan to default on the debt.
“I don’t think that there will be any curtailing of Donald Trump as president,” he said. "He controls the media, he controls the sentiment [and] he controls everybody. He’s the one who will resort to executive orders more so than [President] Obama ever used them." - Ron Paul

    And the hit parade continues.

In B4 kahless et al explain to us all how this is really a pro-Liberty, free-market position.

"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

And how they are exactly the same as Ron and Rand's positions.

It's only currency manipulation when the dirty chinks do it.

The strong dollar (like we have now) makes imports less expensive and our exports more expensive- encouraging us to import more and export less- meaning fewer jobs producing those goods. On the other hand, that same stronger dollar is keeping prices and the rate of price inflation lower.

Donald Trump says Janet Yellen keeping rates low to help Hillary
    www.marketwatch.com
Oct 16, 2015 - Donald Trump says Federal Reserve keeping rates low to satisfy President Obama and help Hillary Clinton get elected president.

Another possible explnation could be that now that he is seeing White House in his grasp , he wants to court Wall Street money and wants the Fed to keep the party going... and then would replace her quickly before she has chance to crash it in case of GOP win.

On a sidenote, rarely we see a political candidate who wraps up so many truths with so much BS in same package.

I'm convinced that someone else earned/grew his father's money and just gave it to him.

Its the only explanation that makes any sense.

"Trump want to keep the FED".
“[T]he enshrinement of constitutional rights necessarily takes certain policy choices off the table.” (Heller, 554 U.S., at ___, 128 S.Ct., at 2822.)

How long before "going liberal" replaces "going postal"?

Yes. That's it! Whenever he says something you agree with, he's "telling it like it is", but whenever he says something stupid like this, he's using subliminal reverse psychology. Damn, this guy's a genius!

(I hope the Trumpsters in here can recognize how he's capitalizing on their fantasies. Obama was great at that, too.)

They won't see it because they don't want to. If Trump were to win, some will sulk in after he turns out to be what we know he is and eat crow, some will continue to defend, and others will just go away or change screen names.

But not one will back away from Don until it's too late. They're emotionally invested.

The dollar is strong? Now? The dollar is strong now?

The dollar is so weak right now that people who work over forty hours a week for more than minimum wage have to get food stamps (sorry, EBT) to survive.

Tell you what, Zippy. Tell us when the dollar was ever weaker. Ever. Just point to one moment in all of history when the dollar was weaker than it is now, and I'll let this '...strong dollar (like we have now)...' bit of propaganda go without further challenge. Name us one moment since the U.S. dollar was first created that it was weaker than it is now. Just one minute of history...

So, Trump wants to 'make America great' by further devaluing the dollar and thereby further degrading the earning power of the middle class, thus further shrinking the middle class. And all so the world's six or eight biggest banks can continue to make money the old fashioned way--by printing it.

Sounds like that same hopey-changey thing which also didn't go anywhere that we were promised we would go.

Not this month. That was last month.

Just like Trump University marks. Or Trump timeshare marks. It's the same con. Get them emotionally invested in their own fantasies and take their money. (Or money and votes in this case)

Quiz: Test Your "Income" Tax IQ!

    Short Income Tax Video

The Income Tax Is An Excise, And Excise Taxes Are Privilege Taxes

    The Federalist Papers, No. 15:

Except as to the rule of appointment, the United States have an indefinite discretion to make requisitions for men and money; but they have no authority to raise either by regulations extending to the individual citizens of America.

  24. #21
Schiff is basically saying trump is wrong about keeping interest rates low in the video. Then Schiff says it's good for trump to raise tariffs because then we could eliminate the income tax. But trump has never said he wants to abolish the IRS. The title "Donald Trump is Right On US Debt" directly contradicts the content of the video.

  25. #22
It's a great idea to reduce the income tax and say, "NOW EVERYTHING IS FINE!"

    but,

PAY BACK or DEFAULT ON THE DEBT? THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ACCOMPLISH!

The debt is the TOTAL $$$ that was printed out of thin air in order to enable the
US government to spend FAR more than it took in via taxes, tarrifs and fees,
EACH AND EVERY YEAR. That money is gone, spent and pissed away. Might
as well take this opportunity to add in the FUTURE OBLIGATIONS for promised
interest payments on imaginary (only on paper) loans and all the tasty social
"care" promises for future SS and Medicare payments requiring even more DEBT)

How can anyone stuff all the consumed paper/ink back into a fed reserve - treasury
printing press and somehow turn all THAT back in to thin air again? Impossible concept.
(well, could the Persuasion Wizard Trump pull off that grand illusion? I doubt that)

IMO, this is total mind-numbing BS.

SURE, IT WAS WRONG TO BEGIN WITH (fiat money and promises out of thin air)
BUT IT IS NOT FIXABLE (not without a total collapse; declaring USD has no-value)
NOT NOW, NOT EVER! (any auditing of the FED must be performed as a deception)

    DISCLAIMER:
2016 April fools joke, never mind. Everything is OK. Nothing to see here. Move along now. Remember to vote.
