Why else would Trump have openly called for China to investigate Biden after the dems were already gunning for him over the Ukrainian phone call? He can't possibly think that China would actually do anything to help him (Trump). So it must have been for theatrical purposes. Pelosi didn't want to impeach Trump. She's being forced too. In the Senate the GOP is in control. They will get to set the rules, call the witnesses etc. It will all be about destroying what's left of Joe Biden's political career. Why do you think Michael Bloomberg is hinting about jumping into the race now? Just a few months ago that would have been unthinkable because Biden seemed unsinkable.
Seems possible but Biden was an easy target for the general, unless you mean its personal (previous vendetta, or maybe Joe really is a pedo and Trump despises him for it).

Butt plug, harris, are more formidable. They would barely even have to campaign. Americans are dying to virtue signal a first lgbt/black woman into the oval.

Exchanging Biden for Bloomberg would be a big mistake, if Bloomberg makes it, Trumps chances go down.

Rand Paul : Ultimately, if someone's going to accuse you of something that's going to bring down a presidency, I think we deserve to know who that person is.

If 2020 is another "throw out the beaners and bomb the ragheads" type cycle, he won't win.

If it's more like 2012, focused on economic issues, he'll have an excellent chance.

    ...

I wouldn't blame him if he didn't run again, but I hope he doesn't go that route.
    Forever young...

    Thing's have changed pretty dramatically.

Rand has become one of Trump's cronies.

He can't possibly run against Trump, any more than Cheney could have run against Bush.

They're now bosom buddies, bound for life, which is to say that the Paul phase of the liberty movement is finished.

    No, it's finished.

Ron certainly isn't running for anything ever again.

Rand probably won't run for anything ever again, including his own senate seat, but, if he does, it won't be as a (l)ibertarian.

Trump effectively neutralized Rand (or rather Rand dumbly neutralized himself).

If there's going to be a libertarian movement in the GOP in the future, it won't be lead by Rand.

LOL @ Kamala Harris! Her campaign is already folding up shop. Tulsi Gabbard already destroyed Harris over her record as a prosecutor. Kamala Harris might even lose her senate seat over that.

She may be down now and very unlikely to gain any meaningful traction so Trump has nothing to worry about.

Doesn't change the fact that Harris is a formidable general election opponent for her skin color and gender.

During the height of Harris, Trump never mentioned her or responded to her attacks, he didn't want to give her any attention at all. He constantly gave Biden attention letting democrats believe Trump was "afraid" of Biden but he really just wanted Biden to be the opponent.

There was a very strong anti-Kamala Harris movement in the black community from the day she announced she was running based on her actions as a prosecutor. She tried to rehabilitate herself by going on cherry picked black media such as The Breakfast Club, but then people outside the cherry picked black media busted her for lying on the show. She was done before she got started. Note that Corey Booker has gotten no traction despite being black. We'll see if Duval Patrick gets any traction.

I think we have adequate evidence to conclude that having a woman on a presidential ticket makes it less likely for that ticket to win, not more.

Rand's spent the last 3 years shilling for Trump; he's now a Trump man.

Even if you want Rand to run as a (l)libertarian, that's totally impossible.

The second Rand tries to challenge the Trumpian consensus, he'll be bombared with ads of him praising Trump.

    He's done.

Trump has continued to grow the welfare-warfare state, which is now many billions larger than under the last Trump.

Rand has praised, for trivial things, this creature, which has signed these billed into law.

So what's your point? Pretty sure a lot of libertarians disagree with you on the whole trivial thing anyway. Trump has been a mixed bag, but he is also facing a formidable opponent who isn't exactly letting him call the shots. I don't think it is fair to place the blame for that on Rand.

Rand will actually benefit immensely from all of this and will have a much better shot in the future.

Alot? What would be some examples of this?

Less taxes somewhat is, but as long as the spending is increased I think that gets canceled out. Getting rid of some regulations is an example but I can't think of anything else off hand.

I don't understand this as it pertains to bringing the troops home. That's entirely his call but Trump really isn't grounded in any philosophy from what I see.

I agree with you on how Rand is working the system.
