    Why Trump Is Panicking Neocons

Anyone looking for further converts to the Hillary Clinton campaign might do well to look at the Marco Rubio campaign. If Clinton is the leading liberal hawk, Rubio is the foremost neocon candidate. In 2014 National Review published an article about him titled “The neocons return.”

Anyone looking for further converts to the Hillary Clinton campaign might do well to look at the Marco Rubio campaign. If Clinton is the leading liberal hawk, Rubio is the foremost neocon candidate. In 2014 National Review published an article about him titled “The neocons return.”

But it wasn’t until the George W. Bush presidency that the neocons became the dominant foreign policy force inside the GOP. They promptly proceeded to wreck his presidency by championing the war in Iraq. Today, having wrecked it, they are now threatening to bolt the GOP and support Hillary Clinton rather than Donald Trump for the presidency.

Something like this scenario is what I predicted in the New York Times in July 2014. Trump wasn’t around then as a force inside the GOP. But already it seemed clear that some of the leading neocons such as Kagan were receptive to Clinton. Now, in a Washington Post column, Kagan has gone all in.

He decries Republican obstructionism, antipathy to Obama, and the rise of Trump. The tone is apocalyptic.

Here we come full circle. The origins of the neocons are in the Democratic Party. Should Clinton become the Democratic nominee and Trump the Republican one, a number of neocons may make common cause with Clinton. Watch Rubio’s ranks first.

the problem is Trump also has some authoritarian tendencies, such as siding with the govt vs. Apple, quoting Mussolini, bragging about the Sheriff Joe endorsement (America's most fascist sheriff?)

"Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it; no constitution, no law, no court can even do much to help it."

Hillary will probably be the nominee. Its disappointing that she is winning. Bernie the sheepdog is getting rolled up newspapers taken to him by Democrat voters. I think the Scoop Jackson Democrats will stay in the Republican Party. They can wait Trump out. He is a one time deal. They can call Hillary a conservative and get their flock to vote for her.

The only thing about Trump that scares the neocon is that they've spent billions selling us this con game of theirs, but anyone with eyes to see knows that Trump has been a neocon all along.

I think the only thing that would have scared the neocons is that Trump wouldn't be able to quickly Rand and infiltrate the anti establishment movement. But we have seen how efficient this assassin works and he just put an end to any worries the neocons may have had.

Thank you Trump cos for you, we neocons sleep well tonight.

I can see why the sheeple would be upset about a quote denigrating sheep.

It's not even an quotation that originated with Mussolini. I believe it goes back to an Italian soldier that served in WW1.

Ultimately, both Trump and his critics were mistaken, because the quote did not originate from Mussolini. “E’ meglio vivere un giorno da leone che cent’anni da pecora,” had become a popular Italian saying after WWI to commemorate the Battle of the Piave River, a decisive Italian victory in 1918.
