The Nobel committee has made themselves totally irrelevant. This is the same reason they gave it to Obama. He has good ideas.

So do I. Nobody's breaking down my door to give me a Nobel Prize.

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

I intend to leave after my death a large fund for the promotion of the peace idea, but I am skeptical as to its results.

DONALD TRUMP NOMINATED FOR NOBEL PEACE PRICE

"The French news agency recently received confirmation of Trump’s nomination from Kristian Berg Harpviken, the director of the Peace Research Institute of Oslo. According to Harpviken, the Nobel committee received a letter (whose author has not been revealed) nominating Trump for his “vigorous peace through strength ideology, used as a threat weapon of deterrence against radical Islam, ISIS, nuclear Iran and Communist China.”"

Unless the person making the nomination publicizes it, the nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize are secret.

    http://www.nobelprize.org/nomination/peace/process.html

    Are the nominations made public?

The statutes of the Nobel Foundation restrict disclosure of information about the nominations, whether publicly or privately, for 50 years. The restriction concerns the nominees and nominators, as well as investigations and opinions related to the award of a prize.
    People who can make nominations:

Members of national assemblies and governments of states
    • Members of international courts
    • University rectors; professors of social sciences, history, philosophy, law and theology; directors of peace research institutes and foreign policy institutes
    • Persons who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize
    • Board members of organizations that have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize
    • Active and former members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee; (proposals by members of the Committee to be submitted no later than at the first meeting of the Committee after February 1)
    • Former advisers to the Norwegian Nobel Committee
    http://www.nobelprize.org/nomination/peace/

In 2015 there were 273 nominees.

LOL. The Nobel Peace Prize became irrelevant when it was given to Al Gore and Barack Obama for...well...nothing. I hope those morons do give it to Trump just to show how meaningless that crap is. But they won't.
