Thread: Who to vote for now? Bernie or Trump?

Who to vote for now? Bernie or Trump?

Let's be real now. After finishing 5th in Iowa, the state Rand tried the hardest in, he has no chance to win the nomination, and quitting to focus on the senate is the best option now. I wanted him to win more than anyone else, but it's time to wave a white flag.

So who to vote for now?

Voting Rand or Ron as a protest vote is pointless. No one is going to notice, nor care about your protest vote.

I think Trump is likely to be the GOP nominee. Cruz may have taken Iowa (as I predicted in another thread), but historically, the silver winner of Iowa and Gold winner of New Hampshire gets the nomination and proceeds to the general. Trump currently has a 20 point lead in NH. Unless something major happens, Trump WILL take NH, and WILL get the nomination.

Now on the democratic side, Hillary beat Bernie by less than a percentage point in Iowa. And in NH, Bernie has a large lead in the polls.

However, Hillary is leading the polls in a lot of other states.

I think on the democratic side, it could go either way, but I'm leaning to Hillary winning, just because it's clear she's the chosen one that the powers that be want. Plus, 2008 was a year for firsts (first black president) and I feel now The People™ want their first female president, her name Clinton regardless.

I think if it's Bernie vs Trump, I will vote Bernie. Not because I like him, but I think under his presidency this nation will absolutely crumble, and I think it's long overdue and needs to be born anew.

If it's Clinton vs. Trump, I will vote trump. Not because I like him, but because I think under a trump presidency there WILL be nuclear war, and humanity will be wiped out. If humans are stupid enough to elect trump, we don't deserve to live. Your thoughts?

Rand is still in the race. If and when he drops out, will be the time to talk about this. Not now.

I'll never vote for either. But especially not Bernie. $#@! Bernie. I don't think my business could survive with him, especially if he got what he wanted in taxation.

    Voting for Rand...

I think support will coalesce behind Cruz or Rubio, however.

And I think Hillary beats Bernie.

Exactly, his tax plan scares the crap out of me.

Fair enough, but barring Trump suddenly dropping out, Rand has no chance. It pains me to say it, but he doesn't.

I foresee Rand dropping out right after NH. He doesn't strike me as the type of guy that would drag anything out. Plus, he's busy being a senator and all.

i am almost sore tempted to write in GOVERNOR MITT ROMNEY as the ultimate protest vote if RAND tosses in the towel like Gov. O'Malley just did!
i think the best thing for Senator RAND to do is trim back expenses and run a lean, mean campaign that is way more polite than Donald Trump's one!

    lettuce be real,

You will sleep easier at night knowing you voted for Rand than an authoritarian.

Don't even think about this one.

You're asking me to choose between two socialists. I refuse to be apart of destroying this country.

Oh, I agree. My business would absolutely crumble.

But you have to look at it long term. Once this nation gets a taste of how bad socialism and high taxes really are, this country will be rebuilt very quickly on strong libertarian, capitalistic principles.

Also guys, if we can get a democrat in, don't forget that Rand can run again in 4 years.

If Trump wins, we have to wait 8.

No it won't. The globalists WANT it to fall. They're just waiting to roll us completely up in world government. The TPA will take us 1/2 way there, as it is.

It's hard to predict how it will play out. After 8 years of Obama, to have another democrat elected is scary. Like Civil War type of scary. Some here might welcome that but be careful what you wish for. The militia movement is once again on the rise, and I understand why and support it to some extent. Leftists aren't going to just change their minds if the economy takes a nose-dive. They are going to blame capitalism and demand more redistribution after the next round of redistribution fails like it has already.

I don't agree that Obama is a moderate. He was kept on a leash by the GOP in congress. And a potential Sanders/Clinton president probably will be too.

But the perception is that all of the above are not moderates.
