True "Representation" in Congress. What a concept!

Have you heard the news? The Republican Establishment is already using dark-money groups to push poll my district in an effort to defeat me.

They blatantly slandered my record to voters and even accused me of being a liberal! These underhanded tactics by career politicians demonstrate exactly why the American people have abandoned their faith in Washington.

It is valid. The establishment has been spending a lot on polls calling people in his district trying to find a path to take him down. This has been known for a couple months. The old congressman from that district, Geoff Davis is being floated as a challenger.

I believe it's robo-calls in the form of a poll.

For example: "Do you approve or disapprove of the proposed law by Thomas Massie to legalize the use of puppies and kittens as ingredients in meatballs for school children?"

In case you missed it- on January 15th, a Democrat filed at the Secretary of State's office to run against me to represent Kentucky’s 4th district in Congress.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone though. As one of the few Representatives who consistently battles against the DC machine, I've become the target of both Democratic liberals AND the Republican establishment.

This means that every two years, after slugging it out for the Republican nomination, I must also beat a Democrat.

You see, Democrats held this congressional seat as recently as 2004 and they desperately want it back! In both 2012 and 2014 I was challenged by a Democrat and now, as of January 15th, we know 2016 will be no different.

I believe the primary filing deadline has passed. I also believe no Republicans filed to challenge him, can you confirm this?

If so he should be safe for the next 2 years.

That appears to be the case. From what I can tell there are only two candidates, Thomas Massie and a Democrat. In that case he should be safe. The KDP will probably be delusional enough to spend a lot of money on the Democratic candidate but the national party won't even try.
