Has Trump really cultivated this massive hatred against Rand Paul or is this artificial?

The comments are filled with completely irrational people. They are completely blind to Trump's socialism and cronyism, and only care that he is the loudest person in the room. They keep exclaiming how anti-establishment is his, but totally ignore how he built up the establishment. It's rather frightening to think that those people will have a say in the nomination process. They are $#@!ing insane.

rand should shut his effing dumbazz mouth and get back to making those cookies in that tree in the forest with the other elves
Is this the new level of Rand Paul's role as a GOP candidate?
You're real good at making waste reports and then failing to actually do anything substantial for the People. Look in the mirror Rand, you are part of the problem.
Festivus is a Holiday like Kwanza that mocks Christianity. Rand you are a tool, and the fact that you do not realize it compromises everything you say and do. I like Rand but he is not Presidential material.
The problem with Rand's campaign is he has spent more time in this campaign ragging on his fellow Republicans than talking about what's wrong with Washington.
Idiots like Rand Paul are the reason we have warning labels on everything.

Count the number of posters making negative comments, analyze how many times the same posters are posting the same exact crap or reworded slightly differently, and also look for similarities in wording between other posters. I'm convinced that a lot of this is astroturf, and many of these people are probably being paid to post all of this crap. However, it should be noted that those comments do tend to influence peoples' opinions, so I think it is incumbent upon all of us to challenge these people and to put out arguments against their BS. Don't hand these people the entire narrative, make them work for their money.

Randal made a fool out of Trump in both of the past debates; it makes sense that his followers would be upset about that.

You know, I'm starting to get fed with all this crap about American sheeple spoiled brats going negative on Rand and would support anybody from Bernie to Trump. Yuck, they can't even take a bit of humor but boy do they love to loathe the Liberty Movement every time they get! Go figure!!

It's not astroturf, it's real. Unfortunately you all live in a $#@!ty country that is a shell of its former self.

I've always believed a conspiracy that Trump's campaign was manufactured to run on very little money to splinter the republican primaries so that someone unpopular gets nominated and people marcorubio because voting doesn't matter.

Man if Rand doesn't get the nomination, I really hope this country's economy crashes and burns. Maybe it is my middle-ageism coming out right now, but the millennial generation is going to get what it deserves. This culture of not wanting to work for anything and expecting the world to bend over for them because how dare they need to actually do something since they are "entitled" to it.

If Trump wins the nod, because most of society feels that elections are like American Idol, then our country deserves everything it gets. I have yet to find a person, that supports Trump, and can actually explain any of his positions to me besides the novelty talking points he spews so to strike an emotional chord with dumb RHINO minions. If they truly wanted someone antiestablishment, then they should support Rand. But in supporting Rand, those millenials may just have to get their entitled asses off of their couches and work to actually read some substance to see what is really going on; whereas it is so much easier to just support Trump because he is the bequeathed anti establishment, and man he is the dude from the Apprentice.

Sorry for the rant, just started typing and couldn't stop.

    Merry Christmas

Hey, boomers ( or the "greatest generation") is just as statist as millennials.

They are the ones who put this all into place, including the socialist education of the millennials. I try not to blame children myself, especially for stuff that has been put into place over the last couple decades before they were born. Call it blowback.

  13. #11
The boomers and the greatest generation are two different entities.

I can't figure out the hatred being spewed towards Rand, either. I am wondering if it is astro turf from Cruz...Trump doesn't need it...Cruz is not what he appears to be contrary to what many people here think.

I've had to deal with some Trump supporters, and lets just say they aren't very bright. They have the mentality of a teenager with poor grammar and a small vocabulary, most of the ESL people I know understand the English language better than these people.

Honestly I hope they are children trolling but honestly I just think there are people that dumb.

I do believe Trump's support is real.

    Image and perception matters.

What is Rand's image? We all know what it is BUT Rand has not conveyed it in anyway that the average voter can relate.

Yeah that's what I was trying to figure out, especially when you contrast comments on here it's hard to tell if it's smoke and mirrors.

    .
True. However, there is a major similarity between those two generations that most people do not recongize.

I would just repeat bullet points.... keep it real simple, bulleted list.. then link to "cognitive dissonance"... So, a trump supporter can go down the list and think...
"my candidate does/did all these things... hmmm" , "NO!! I will not bend..." then see the link to cognitive dissonance, then read it.. and realize.. "oh $#@!..."

    1. Trump supports...
    2. Trump did this....
    3. Trump supports ....

Link to Cognitive Dissonance <-- only smart people know what this means.

I've never had an unintelligent conversation in-person with another Rand supporter.

I can't say the same for any other candidate.

Tired of being nice. $#@! the morons.

Yeah! Screw the morons that want to install another statist into power and then they'll whine that we need more governmental power! FREEDOM!!!

It's one thing to complain about morons proliferating on all these other sites, but what needs to happen is form people to get on Disqus and actually engage these people. You don't necessarily need to be a dick to them unless they really push you, but it's time that we start flooding these sites and begin answering all of this B.S. Make these people work for their stupidity.

I didn't say argue with them, I said engage them. Also, allow me to offer you this.

I saw a comment the other day about how Rand was a religious fanatic like his daddy.

Ignorant comments like these make me wonder how people are so uninformed.

    Idiocracy.

If I had been addressing anything you had said, I would have quoted you (just as I am doing here).

I didn't quote Mark Twain. Twain never said what I posted (which is why I didn't attribute it to him).

With Disqus, it's not the commenters, it's the site moderators who are the likely culprits. They take existing comments and change them however they like.

Yikes, so hypothetically speaking, all Trump needed to do was buy off the mods at Breitbart and didn't even have to bother with hiring trolls. I wonder if the mods on that site messed with any of my posts after I made them.

They have a stronger connection to the Cruz campaign than Trump.

I do believe Trump's support is real.
It may be real but they don't vote. He will have to pay them and provide buses and McDonald's hamburgers with fries to get them to the Iowas caucuses.

  33. #29
Rand is not very popular with in the GOP nor has he been able to hold on to his father's base, Trump dominates the chans and is the designated meme candidate so I don't doubt Trump's internet presence reflects that. Look at the favorables, Rand is underwater in almost every poll now.

  34. #30
Rand should have said, "you know this isn't American Idol up here, this is you life were talking about. Sending your kids to die in war, putting you in debt to kill innocent people, using your tax money to make bombs that kill innocent people. How does that make us any different than them. They want revenge because we killed them first," "American people why would you want to give a corrupt government so much money out of your pocket, government is not the answer, why would you want to give billions to other countries while ours continues to degrade. etc. Etc. Maybe some of these people would realize what they are going along with.
