I agree with all the pundits are saying, he did a fine job.
9 times 15 equals 135
was Dr. Rand's time almost
equal to that of the other 8?
CNN's page describing the debate doesn't even have Rand's name on the page. Yet it describes the undercard debate in full.
In New Zealand:
The Coastguard is a Charity
Air Traffic Control is a private company run on user fees
The DMV is a private non-profit
Rescue helicopters and ambulances are operated by charities and are plastered with corporate logos
The agriculture industry has zero subsidies
5% of the national vote, gets you 5 seats in Parliament
A tax return has 4 fields
Business licenses aren't a thing
Prostitution is legal
We have a constitutional right to refuse any type of medical care
The video compilation is a fine distillation of how reasonable Rand's talking points are, compared to the rest of the candidates. What may be lacking in the clips is a sense that the comments persuade close anybody on voting for Rand---demonstrating you are the most reasonable is not the same thing as making the case that you should be elected. That is the "decision gap" Rand has to find a way to close in the next few weeks to make progress in the primaries.
