Trump says Cruz not qualified to be president,Hillary ‘Killed Hundreds of Thousands of People’

Trumpster is turning on two neocons pupeets, Rafael Ted Cruz and Hillary:

Trump Calls Cruz a ‘Maniac,’ Says Hillary Has ‘Killed Hundreds of Thousands of People’

    by Josh Feldman | 11:53 am, December 13th, 2015

Donald Trump went on the attack against both Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton this morning, using remarkably hyperbolic language about both of them.

Trump told Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday Cruz is not qualified to be president because he lacks the right temperament and judgment. He said that Cruz has conducted himself in the Senate “like a little bit of a maniac” who can’t get anything done.

“You can’t walk into the Senate and scream and call people liars,” he said, “and not be able to cajole and get along with people. He’ll never get anything done, and that’s the problem with Ted.”

Trump also went on the attack against Clinton, saying she lacks strength and stamina and “everything she does is theatrical.” (Soak in the irony on that one.) He went off on her record at the State Department and said, “She’s killed hundreds of thousands of people with her stupidity.”

Donald Trump: Obama Wasn't Qualified For Ivy League
    04/25/2011
NEW YORK — Real estate mogul Donald Trump suggested in an interview Monday that President Barack Obama had been a poor student who did not deserve to be admitted to the Ivy League universities he attended. Trump, who is mulling a bid for the Republican presidential nomination, offered no proof for his claim but said he would continue to press the matter as he has the legitimacy of the president's birth certificate.

Donald Trump Mocks Ted Cruz for ‘Surging’ to 14%
14 Dec 2015 Las Vegas, NV
Speaking for over an hour to a rapt and rowdy audience at the Westgate Hotel–punctuated by cheers, hecklers, and chants–Trump took on the media, political correctness, radical Islam, Hillary Clinton, his Republican rivals, and the political establishment.
The mood turned somber at one point, when Trump brought families onstage whose relatives had been murdered by illegal aliens, including the family of Jamiel Shaw, Jr. He gave the microphone to Jamiel’s father, who told the audience that Trump “feels what we feel.”
A heckler shouted: “That’s why we need gun control!” The crowd shouted him down with chants of “Trump! Trump! Trump!”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who leads Trump in Iowa by some measures, is a distant second nationally at 14%. Trump mocked the media for saying that Cruz is “surging.”

It would be interesting if Rand partially came to the defense of Cruz when Trump lays into him at the debate. It would be Rand's opening to reach out to Cruz's supporters by defending the notion that 'business as usual' needs to end in the Senate. In that context he can then criticize Cruz's bad manners with other Senators, without turning off non-establishment voters.

Rand doesn't really need to do that, the soft Cruz support will naturally go to the next alternative conservative in line.

A lot of the "support" you see isn't like the online fanatics. Actual voters in early states and in general are still very fluid in their decision making process and they don't usually come to a solid conclusion until very very last minute.

It is fair though. If you look at Donald Trump's feuds, they've always been with irrelevant nobodies like AJ Benza and Rosie O'Donnell. He always got along just fine with the New York politicians and real estate developers whom he had to do business with. Trump has never shat where he ate. Cruz is disliked even among his own party in the US Senate.

The complication is that, due to attacking Trump and Cruz, Rand is not perceived as the next alternative conservative acceptable to these voters---the anti-establishment supporters have been sliding from Carson to Trump or Cruz, but not to anybody else.

Rand has positioned himself more as establishment than as an alternative, putting him on the outs with the 'outsiders,' so he does need to make gestures that make him part of that club. If he grabbed just a few points from Cruz nationally, he would be at 7-9% and consistently above Bush in most polls, which would catapult his coverage and momentum.

Trump is starting to implode. And I think he finally made the criticism that will hurt him. He attacked Cruz for attacking the establishment. Fatal mistake in this year's climate.

I figured Trump would implode eventually, though I thought it would start happening a bit earlier than this.

Teddy Cruz is a neocon establishment's second or third tier backup choice and their lapdog.

Not so sure about that. Attack on Cruz will likely further grow his lead.
