(New York, NY) December 7th, 2015, -- Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on. According to Pew Research, among others, there is great hatred towards Americans by large segments of the Muslim population. Most recently, a poll from the Center for Security Policy released data showing "25% of those polled agreed that violence against Americans here in the United States is justified as a part of the global jihad" and 51% of those polled, "agreed that Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Shariah." Shariah authorizes such atrocities as murder against non-believers who won't convert, beheadings and more unthinkable acts that pose great harm to Americans, especially women.

Mr. Trump stated, "Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension. Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine. Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life. Sounds like he's scared of Rand Paul and Ted Cruz stealing his thunder on this issue and is trying to become a more ridiculous version of Cruz. I'm not sure if this will do him in, but something eventually will, he's more of a clown than a candidate at this point, regardless of how many dumb asses the pollsters dredge up to keep his numbers high.

Sep 20, 2015 - GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, under fire for not correcting a man at a New Hampshire town hall for attacking Muslims and accusing President Barack Obama of being one, said on Saturday he loves Muslims and would consider putting one in his cabinet, CNN reports.

Trump spoke before a high school homecoming event in Urbandale, Iowa, and was asked by a student about the issue.

"I consider Muslim Americans to be an important asset to our country and society. Would you consider putting one in your cabinet, or even on your ticket?" a student asked Trump.

"Oh, absolutely. No problem with that," Trump responded.

A CNN reporter also asked Trump about the controversy outside the event.

"I love the Muslims. I think they're great people," Trump said.

Shouldn't really be all that controversial. All this does is take us part of the way back to before the 1965 Immigration Act when the US was sensible about who it allowed in to the country. But the focus on Muslims specifically really puts the neocons in a bind. Trump directly attacking the "Invade the World, Invite the World" policy that is central to their ideology.

This may be time to say that while there are many things I do not like about Chris Christie, I do appreciate his ability to distill an issue down to very simple terms and speak them plainly. He really does not tap dance around an issue. "This is kind of thing people say when they have no experience and no idea what they're talking about."

A Reuters’ analysis of Department of Labor data shows that nine Trump-majority-owned companies have applied to bring waitresses, cooks, vineyard workers, and other laborers into the country on foreign worker visas. Most of the visa applications have gained approval, Reuters says. Palm Beach, Fla., resort Mar-a-Lago Club has sought the most foreign workers of the nine Trump-owned businesses. It has submitted applications for 787 workers since 2006. This month, it sought to bring in 70 foreign workers to work as maids, cooks, and servers on H-2B workers later this year

The visas the Trump companies have relied on the most—H-2B—is a subset of the H-2 visa program that covers nonagricultural foreign workers. (H-2A visas are for farm workers.) The H-2 program is often criticized for leaving workers vulnerable to employer abuses. Last month, a Buzzfeed investigation portrayed the system as one that—at times—fosters modern-day slavery.

Trump has failed to outline a specific economic agenda, but in announcing his candidacy in June, the contender for the Republican presidential nomination said that he “will be the greatest jobs president that God every created. The Republican Party particularly the Republican National Convention Committee can treat him as unfairly as they want because he will have ballot access issues as most States make it very difficult to form new third parties even with money. He would also be too late for already established third parties as they already will have their conventions before the Republican Convention.
