Well if you think you have the right to violate the laws of other nations and violate national sovereignty please try that with Mexico.
Sorry you can not understand that large numbers of Marxists coming into America will make American a less free nation, even more so then it is now.
Ah, yes, that's true.
But I'd consider that a special situation: they did it out of desperation, as a necessary evil to finance the war.
In normal circumstances, before and after the war (up until 1896) they always opposed inflation and central banking.
...as, of course, did their fellow Dems in the North (who were, drumroll, mostly immigrants!).
You really have no idea what you're talking about, do you?
1. Socialism was made in America. It was here before the Germans arrived. It originated amongst low-church pietist Anglo-Saxons in New England (aka yankees). Ultimately, it originated during the English Civil War in the 17th century, amongst the radical protestant ancestors of the yankees. Any German socialist influence late in the 19th century was superfluous. The progressive movement (what we call socialism here) was founded and run from beginning to end by yankees. They would sing pietists hymns at their political meeting FFS. And, by the way, they were virulently anti-German!
2. And even if German socialist intellectuals had been instrumental in introducing socialism to America, so what? What does that have to do with the other 99.99999% of the millions of Germans immigrants who came here (and voted more conservatively than did the natives, who were voting for the GOP, home of progressivism)?

Socialism would have come to America without German immigrants. There weren't any Germans immigrating to China but Marx's ideas still found their way into the country.
Stop believing stupid things
Once again we did not need to given them any more supporters.
That we need to learn from the past and not repeat the same mistakes? I mean would you have allowed in the Germans from the Frankfurt school? You know the people that help grow cultural marxism in America?2. And even if German socialist intellectuals had been instrumental in introducing socialism to America, so what?
