What is the maneuver he used at the beginning to work around the Quorum Call ?

Rand, the government rebel smarter than all those other SOBs combined.

And that is why the establishment and government controlled media is against him.
If Rand does not win the Republican nomination, he should buck the controlled two party system and run as an Independent for President in 2016 and give Americans a real option to vote for.

We are all born libertarians then something goes really wrong. Despite this truth, most people are still libertarians yet not know it.

his various interviews yesterday where so excellent, and I'll be darned if it didn't seem like his great idea for how to address the CR was being swept under the rug by the media.

His idea is not rocket science, but it's brilliant. Allow the current authorizations to expire, and replace it with several smaller authorizations for spending, the way it's supposed to be done. That way, 60 votes must be gathered for the good spending and the bad spending separately, so no shutdown occurs, and controversial stuff doesn't end up holding up the whole process.

It really puts the political onus where it belongs.

Keep it up, President Paul! Tweet it!

Awesome! I loved watching the clerk or whoever on the right, seeing him react to the crazy things we spend money on.

Would that really force 60 votes for any spending, or would it still be possible for them to pull some kind of bogus retroactive CR with 50 votes? If it really does force 60 voted then the Republicans would ultimately win that battle in the eyes of the public IMO, even if there was some backlash from the initial shutdown
