lol.. Obama going on a fake survival show.. lol...

This is the guy who stays in hotels with his crew and pretends to camp.. This is the guy showing himself crossing a big crevice in the earth, a crevice that ended 30 yards away and was a couple hundred yards from a major highway..

He does drink water squeezed out of elephant dung, though.

He also sells really overpriced low quality 'survival gear'.

Most of it looks like toys to me, besides, I'd never take anything orange with me when I go out. Except for the inside of the rain-cover for my ruck-sack. That's big enough to signal with. No need for anything else that's orange.

This is the knife I've been using over the past 10 years. Rockhard steel but it keeps a good edge. It's about time to get a new one since I've sharpened and polished it way too many times. Just a simple cheap (for the kind of quality it is) swedish knife. Some 35$ or so I think. Good stuff.

Obama is the most unmanly man the WH has ever seen.

I hope he gets eaten by a bear.

It's to push the globalist bull$#@! known as global warming, of course.

    https://reason.com/blog/2015/08/31/o...front-man-made

President Barack Obama is going to spend three days this week personally inspecting the ravages of man-made climate change in the Land of the Midnight Sun. The President is seeking to burnish his climate change policy legacy. As Whitehouse.gov explains:

President Obama is traveling through Alaska to shine a spotlight on the impacts of climate change, one of the biggest threats we face ... it is being driven by human activity, and it is disrupting Americans’ lives right now.
Based on the idea of natural rights, government secures those rights to the individual by strictly negative intervention, making justice costless and easy of access; and beyond that it does not go. The State, on the other hand, both in its genesis and by its primary intention, is purely anti-social. It is not based on the idea of natural rights, but on the idea that the individual has no rights except those that the State may provisionally grant him. It has always made justice costly and difficult of access, and has invariably held itself above justice and common morality whenever it could advantage itself by so doing.

Everyone says that's fake, but the whole reason he's on TV is not to actually survive, but to show others how to survive, so it doesn't matter if he's actually really close to a highway or stays in a hotel because the situation he's conveying is quite real and it's still just as educational.

So I guess this is sort like the whole Putin image make it masculine kind of thing. There's video circulating in Russia of Putin shooting, riding horses, etc., so maybe the administration is doing something like that? Who knows what they're thinking.

Obama back to his dog's life

Washington: US President Barack Obama chowed on half-eaten salmon stashed away by an Alaskan bear, during a recent television shoot with British adventurer Bear Grylls.

Obama's appearance is just the latest in a series of White House efforts to reach new audiences with an environmental message.

During the trip to Alaska, Obama also highlighted the impact of climate change, which has caused rising sea levels, shrinking glaciers, and melting permafrost.

The full episode is expected to air later this year.

He stole salmon from a bear? Is that bear's life not hard enough without a filthy rich elitist stealing its food? Typical entitled prog, helping himself to something that doesn't belong to him. Too bad the bear didn't catch him in the act.

Survival programs such as Man v/s Wild can make life difficult for wild animals if more and more people try to survive in the wild.

Now in a TV program they are taking 4 SUV cars in wilds of Alaska. There are more than 6 survival programs on TV.
