The past week, the "talking heads" have been pumping Rubio, getting him primed to take over after Trump gets sidelined.

The problem is, many don't know how corrupted & "bought" Rubio is. This explains in detail here: http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2...campaign-funds

Also, I noticed some articles on Rubio's corruption I used for reference in the past, are now being scrubbed from the internet.

I really began this election cycle believing it was pre-determined to be Bush vs Clinton, just to guarantee Clinton a win. Now I'm beginning to have hope. Bush is such a fail candidate, he can't even win a rigged primary.

I noticed Clinton and FOX are talking about Rubio more. The two Clinton wants to run against are Bush or Rubio, which is why she is using their names so often.

Didn't see this one coming, although it definitely won't hurt the PAC donors so much as they can probably either recycle the money into a pro-Rubio PAC or do something else with it, unlike Bush's hard donations which will be money wasted. When I saw his shoddy performance in the first debate I was pretty well convinced that he was going to have problems, though it will still be a major surprise if he happens to implode this early.

While I don't believe this is any death knell for Jeb, I wouldn't be surprised if Kasich starts being talked about... I still think Rubio is being primed for VP.

I agree. Kaisch (not Walker) is the back-up plan.

Jebby is gonna be runnin' runnin' as fast as 'e can - from every event, especially when he comes to the friendly confines of
the Univ. of Colorado debate in October.

I agree. Kaisch is the one the maybe the surprise winner in NH catapulting him to the top. Walker would bring out the labor vote in droves.

    Kasich is a half-socialist . . . unelectable . . . the dream opponent of Madame Hillary

He still has the most money, the most important endorsements, and the best connections. And you have to factor in that real level of support all the candidates will get in actual votes is being skewed by the artificially high poll numbers going to Trump. I don't think you can count Bush out. All things considered, he should still be considered the favorite to win the nomination.

How does being half-socialist make him unelectable?

I think Kasich would crush Hillary. So would almost any Republican other than Trump.

If Kasich were able to snake through as a GOP nominee - even as the VP nominee designed to carry Ohio -
then Hillary would win some Western states and it won't matter if the GOP gets Ohio . . . Kasich = GOP loss

Expansion of legal immigration causes Kasich to be on the wrong side of the immigration debate. Jus my 2 ¢

All the Republicans and all the Democrats are for expansion of legal immigration. I don't know of a single one who isn't. Do you? So I don't see how that would be the deciding issue. And Hillary just strikes me as a terrible candidate. She's utterly unlikeable to most people.

Rand has said we should enforce current policy . . .
I would not characterize that as ANY form of expansion above the legal immigration
from Mexico - which is illegally "legal" - just like the "sanctuary cities".

Kasich is for EXPANSION of legal immigration . . .
Immigration from Mehhico was 28 per cent in 2013 . . . already above the 7 per cent rule of immigration policy -
India second at 5 per cent, China at 5 per cent . . . Dominican Republic and Guatemala also in top ten single digits.

Sorry Komrade Kasich - no more pandering with increased legal immigration from Mexico is needed.

I'm pretty sure Rand is for expansion of legal immigration. And I'm pretty sure every single Republican and Democrat, including Trump, is too. He probably said we should enforce current laws because they are the law. But that doesn't mean he doesn't want to change the laws.

Santorum wants to greatly reduce legal immigration. That's what he said at an event I was at, anyway. I'm not sure if any of the other candidates feel that way. Of course, he has no money and the media doesn't cover him so...

What's funny is T-rump wants to expand legal immigration but only after kicking them out and bringing them back over the Wall 'o Trump.

This is becoming quite a circus . . . and only one debate in to the race.

Komrade Kasich is a nowhere man in this, no money - little hope for the socialist imo

I'm not a Trump supporter, but this strikes me as the same dismissive head-in-sand tone that was made by Nate Hodson (Trey Grayson's campaign manager) in August 2009, that a good first poll for Rand Paul was merely "phantom numbers".

Jebby won't make it to Iowa caucus in four - five months away.
