    From a press release:

Sen. Rand Paul Introduces “Audit the Fed” Amendment to Cybersecurity Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Rand Paul today introduced his Federal Reserve Transparency Act as an amendment to theCybersecurity Information Sharing Act, S. 754, currently being considered by the U.S. Senate. Widely known as "Audit the Fed," the amendment seeks to eliminate restrictions on Government Accountability Office (GAO) audits of the Federal Reserve (Fed) and mandates that the Federal Reserve's credit facilities, securities purchases, and quantitative easing activities be subject to Congressional oversight.

"A complete and thorough audit of the Fed will finally allow the American people to know exactly how their money is being spent by Washington. The Fed currently operates under a cloak of secrecy and it has gone on for too long. The American people have a right to know what the Federal Reserve is doing with our nation's money supply, and the time to act is now," Sen. Paul said.

People must really want to find the gold being hidden at the Fed or whatever it is they're hoping to see.

KFC gains value by the secrecy of its recipe. A monetary issuer gains value by its openness. It is supposed to be a store of value, not some concoction that drives the consumers wild. People want the facts to be laid out on the table, so market price discovery can do its thing.

It will force votes on the amendment, which is particularly important to a constitutionalist candidate to demonstrate how his opponents really vote. He's using the campaign to drive legislation, too. Smart move from both angles.

Congress has tried to pass this bull$#@! in one form or another 4 times. They are using this OPM hack as if it was a cyber 9/11 and are using it as an excuse to pass a cyber patriot act for corporations. CISA could not have prevented the OPM hack, They wanna give corporations immunity for breaking virtually any law if they do so while providing the NSA, DHS, DEA, and local police surveillance access to everyone's data. This marriage of corporate power with our government is an abomination.
