It seems to have gone unnoticed by you that the Republican Primary occurs prior to the General Election. Unless you think the fact that Rand loses a theoretical matchup against Hillary by one point less than Jeb is the silver bullet argument that is going to turn things around for Rand?

Primary polls are important. A general election poll from a blue state showing Paul is 10 points behind Clinton is not really much to get excited about.

Hypotheticals with Rand getting hammered in the primary thus far. Rand Paul may as well be polling against mythical heroes at this point. Rand is polling strong against Hercules in Macedonia? Fantastic.

So its a winning idea for the GOP to pick someone that does WORSE against Hillary?

If team A is going to lose by 1 point, then definitely bet on team B that will lose by 10 points.

    Makes perfect sense.

Tell me Mr. Downer, what's your first name, and please don't say it's Debbie.

We are talking about Illinois...where Rham Emanuel was elected Mayor of half the population, right? I'll definitely take only a 10 point deficit there.

It seems to have gone unnoticed by you that the republican debate occurs prior to the General Election. Rand Paul has the lowest name ID and highest undecided of any candidate. The only person that is really comparable there is Ben Carson. Its a lot harder to flip those unfavorable numbers then it is to put your name and policies out there and stand out.

I'm very much an objectivist. The campaign is clearly trending down. Things have to change.

undecideds are good...those are democrats that he has a chance at pulling in.

Thats much better than more decideds for hillary.

I'll take 50% undecideds rand vs. hillary over 50% for hillary and 2% undecideds v. any candidate.

doesn't matter unless he wins IA or NH. Rand is surely the strongest candidate the GOP could have, and Trump surely the weakest. but Trump is way ahead in NH.

Don't forget to check out the baseball preferences of this polling sample - ridiculous kinda to be asked that in the same phone interview.

Who is gonna answer all those questions ? LMAO, really!

Hillary's crazy is improved though from previously, hasn't it ?

She must have found a good eye doctor . . .

She probably still could not pass the Commander-In-Chief physical though.

It shows once again that Rand has the widest base of support to draw from among GOP candidates.

These polls take away the mindless RINO vote from the establishment candidates. Why the final chips fall, they will likely fall Rand's way.

Would that be the Cubs' fans that were 2012 Obama supporters, or the Teamsters that root for the Cardinals ?
