Lumberjacks judge Rand Paul's chainsaw skills

    By Chris Moody

To promote his tax plan, Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul released a video earlier this week that showed him chopping up the federal tax code with a chainsaw, stuffing it into a wood-chipper and setting it on fire.

Paul got his point across: He wants to simplify the tax code.

But how was his chainsaw technique? For answers, CNN Politics went to the experts at the International Lumberjack Competition to find out what they thought of Paul's form.

Watch the video to find out what they said.

Will CNN check in with these lumberjacks on Earth Day and ask for their opinions?

I'm glad CNN is asking the important questions here.

That one lumberjack was happy about chainsaw-related changes to the tax code though, so this video gets a thumbs up from me.

I actually didn't! Man - Rand Paul missed an opportunity there. A parody of that song somewhere in the design of the messaging would have sent it freaking viral . THey should hire you.

Look at that picture, and put Rand & Kelly's face on it.
