According to Open Secrets.org, no plus Rand shows no history of donating to anyone.

Actually yes, direct mail and door-to-door is how elections are won. There has to be a little bit of media narrative/PR, but mostly direct marketing is what wins these things.

I wasn't speaking about direct mail I was talking about people saying he sends out this mail and doesn't include postage stamps to return the check/envelope.

There's almost no direct response "rule" that's 100%, so don't spout off with certainty like this ... especially when it's so wrong. The fact is, to many segments of your best donors, paying return postage typically boosts response enough to far outweigh the additional cost. In particular when the return postage is shown through a window to increase open rate.

Good way lol. I just want to see some more money. I am happy with our numbers as far as small donor count! Now i want to see more money so that we can compete in texas, south carolina, etc.

Potentially. But more like increasing it by 50% if you are also paying first class postage out and fully personalizing the letter with multiple matches.

But to many segments of your housefile, the increase in response rate makes it more than worth it.
