if you know the definition of all those terms you've put way too much thought into this crap.

Define "universalism". It's used by some philosophers as well as the Unitarian Universalist Church, and in very different ways.

I mean with respect to forms of social organization.

If you believe that there is one form of social organization which is best in all times/places, for all cultures, peoples, etc - you're a universalist.

    If not, you're a particularist.

    More likely not though.

For my part anyway, I don't plan to do any arguing.

I'm just curious about how the general population of the forum lines up on these issues.

It's a bit hard to define...

I would say that the left's basic value is equality/fairness, while the right's basic value is virtue.

Modern social values are of the left, traditional social values of the right.

Quick test: rank how much political correctness and the modern idea of "tolerance" bother you on a scale of 0 to 10.

If it's less than 10, you're on the left.

N.B. This has to do with your own personal tastes and preferences, it doesn't necessary have anything to do with public policy.

That's about right. I picked one and voted before I read the directions.

No John Stuart Mill or Henry David Thoreau?

I had no preference between theism and atheism

    Thread is silly.
    On Trump:
How conservative Republicans can continue to support this arrogant imposter—the man who brags about inflicting the world with the Covid mark of the beast; the man who said, “Take the guns first, go through due process second”; and the man who deliberately played and then set up Stewart Rhodes (of course, Stewart was all too eager to be Trump’s patsy) for an 18-year prison sentence—is truly beyond my comprehension.” Chuck Baldwin

Which culture is "left" and which is "right"?

and there is no "Anti-Authoritarian" option on the list.
Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

    That's right.

    FYI, you should check "left."

I'm surprised that six people on this site support democratic government. Liberty and democracy are largely incompatible.

    Anarchism
    Cultural right
    Non-democratic government
    Particularism
    Atheism
    Consequentialism

The options are black and white. Not really great options largely. There are many shades of grey. The form of government in the US is neither fully democratic or non-democratic.
