I keep hearing about people with 100,000 in student loan debt (or more) and wonder why and how. College does not have to be that expensive.
Do your first two years at community college for almost nothing. Or maybe even less if you take AP classes in high school. Make good grades (B-average) and at least in Georgia you get a lottery scholarship for your undergrad degree. It pays a lot of the tuition and fees. You can also work part time.
Again, all of this student loan debt baffles me. People want to be forgiven, but they aren't victims and college is to their advantage.
