    Fighting Terrorism the American Way

I have been thinking. *oh god not again*

Rand needs to recast his opposition in a pro-American light.

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015...cmp=latestnews

This is fighting terrorism the unamerican way. Pulling over street vendors and blowing up their equipment for being dual use is UnAmerican, arresting the guy on a bull$#@! charge is also unamerican.

Stop talking about "defending civil liberties"

Talk about fighting terrorism the American way, instead of the KGB way.

We fight terrorists with openness, warrants and police work, not with secret police and torture.
We fight terrorists as Americans, we don't become terrorists.

    Thought is half baked.
    In New Zealand:
    The Coastguard is a Charity
Air Traffic Control is a private company run on user fees
The DMV is a private non-profit
Rescue helicopters and ambulances are operated by charities and are plastered with corporate logos
The agriculture industry has zero subsidies
5% of the national vote, gets you 5 seats in Parliament
A tax return has 4 fields
    Business licenses aren't a thing
    Prostitution is legal
We have a constitutional right to refuse any type of medical care

What you're describing saved countless American lives during World War II, because the Nazi soldiers knew we'd treat them better as prisoners of war than their own army did as loyal soldiers. What you're describing is an important piece of that which grew this nation from a remote outpost to the world superpower.

The new paradigm that replaced the proven for no good reason is what is half baked.

What I mean is Rand should be telling everyone who supports the NSA that they should leave America and go work for Putin.

    Or something with less vitriol.

But I mean HOLY $#@!! WE STAND WITH THE RED WHITE AND BLUE NOT THEM.

"Liberty and Justice for all" should be the campaign slogan.

Fight Terrorists the way Americans should, not the way Putin does, not the way the Chinese do, not the way North Korea does.

I've been trying to plant seeds in comment sections at Red leaning corners of the internet that American's used to have a reputation of being self reliant, tough and able to defend themselves. Since when did we all the sudden need mommy and daddy to keep the bad men away for us?

    Well said OP.

He needs to develop the narrative that his anti-terrorism policy is both more effective and "more American" that the McCrash/Linzi strategy. The key, really, to persuading GOP primary voters (which is all that matters at this point) is unmasking the neocons as incompetent, maybe un-American, never immoral per some abstract moral standards of which they have no awareness.

...one can only work with the material at hand.

Exactly, reframe it by taking the higher road.
