    Freight train derails in Pittsburgh

    A train derailed Thursday in Pittsburgh and about 10 freight cars toppled over, authorities said.

    The derailment came two days after an Amtrak passenger train derailment in Philadelphia left eight people dead and more than 200 injured.

    Maybe they need just let the engineer be a babysitter and automate the system already.

    They are working on installing an automated system that applies the breaks if the train is gong too fast. The Philly section of track still has the older system that just notifies the engineer.

    It's getting push back as it also requires all new breaks that are not considered to offer any advantage over the old ones, but are expensive. Will, this is for tank cars hauling oil.
