    Rand has nice ties.
It's all about taking action and not being lazy. So you do the work, whether it's fitness or whatever. It's about getting up, motivating yourself and just doing it.

His name is versatile. He could switch his names and be called Paul Rand. Like Pope John.

He has curly hair like Liberace.
Inspired by US Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, this site is dedicated to facilitating grassroots initiatives that aim to restore a sovereign limited constitutional Republic based on the rule of law, states' rights and individual rights. We seek to enshrine the original intent of our Founders to foster respect for private property, seek justice, provide opportunity, and to secure individual liberty for ourselves and our posterity.

    In New Zealand:
    The Coastguard is a Charity
Air Traffic Control is a private company run on user fees
The DMV is a private non-profit
Rescue helicopters and ambulances are operated by charities and are plastered with corporate logos
The agriculture industry has zero subsidies
5% of the national vote, gets you 5 seats in Parliament
A tax return has 4 fields
    Business licenses aren't a thing
    Prostitution is legal
We have a constitutional right to refuse any type of medical care

Showed up to a packed venue and his people still tried to let us in. Since it was a fire hazard we waited outside and when the event was over he shook everyone's hand who waited outside.

Coolest and best ideological politician of my generation, aside from Ron.

In most polls, he's in 4th place and not 5th. Is that kind of positive?

He has the best voting record of any Senator in modern history. Similar to his dad's record in Congress.

He likes Rush. (the band, not the on-air guy, duh!)

    "The Spirit Of Radio"

Begin the day with a friendly voice
    A companion unobtrusive
Plays that song that's so elusive
And the magic music makes your morning mood

Off on your way, hit the open road
There is magic at your fingers
    For the Spirit ever lingers
Undemanding contact in your happy solitude

    [Chorus:]
    Invisible airwaves crackle with life
Bright antennae bristle with the energy
    Emotional feedback on timeless wavelength
Bearing a gift beyond price, almost free

All this machinery making modern music
    Can still be open hearted
    Not so coldly charted
It's really just a question of your honesty, yeah
    Your honesty
One likes to believe in the freedom of music
But glittering prizes and endless compromises
    Shatter the illusion of integrity

    [Chorus]

For the words of the prophets were written on the studio wall
    Concert hall
And echoes with the sounds of salesmen

He bridges the divide between political groups.

  21. #18
Regardless of his electoral or legislative successes, he has moved the conversation and popular opinion within the GOP (and even a little bit outside of it) far closer to the libertarian position than anyone in the last 50 years.

  22. #19
He's the the most Liberty-oriented of any announced or potential Presidential candidate for the 2016 election, that has a realistic chance of winning.
Brawndo's got what plants crave. Its got electrolytes.

    H. L. Mencken said it best:

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

He was called a "Whacko Bird" by John McCain, and regularly harshly criticized by Harry Reid. If you're not liked by John McCain or Harry Reid, you're definitely a friend of mine...

He does appear to be growing into quite the consummate politician.

Rand Paul is becoming a master of turning around media attacks on him and using them to actually bolster his message and name.

Fact: Franklin Pierce was the first President to affirm the Constitution rather than swear an oath to it.

Hmm, interesting, apparently Franklin Pierce also understood the paradox of swearing an oath to a godless civil document. Good for him.
