Rand plays poker with Dan Bilzerian, snapchats about it

Rand Paul Snapchats Poker Game With Instagram Playboy Dan Bilzerian

Senator Rand Paul sent out a Snapchat Friday morning of him “taking lessons” from Instagram playboy Dan Bilzerian.

The video, captioned “Lessons from Dan Bilzerian,” showed the two holding money and playing what appears to be liar’s poker, where hands are dictated by the serial numbers on the bills. They were using hundred dollar bills.

The photo sharing app lets users post photos and videos, which disappear within 24 hours. Paul’s username, “senatorrandpaul,” is public.

Bilzerian is a bearded trust fund baby who has eight million followers on Instagram, mainly because of his plethora of photos of scantily clad women, fast cars and lots of guns.

Funny, but careful about the hundred dollar bills as it might not connect with voters who cant afford to gamble like that. Remember Romney's $10000 bet?

Yeah, I think the answer for anyone who may criticize him is, "Yeah, I deal in hundreds. The rest of these guys deal in millions, billions, and even trillions."
By way of comparison, most Americans have at least held $100.

I wonder what the heck Rand is thinking here?

creative way to reach his followers.
hope he throws him a fund raiser.

I don't think this will have much negative feedback, hope I'm right.
I'd be a little worried that parents might wonder if rand is glorifying this mans lifestyle, though.he is def a cool dude, but a terrible role model.

Dan Bilzerian is a huge online celebrity, almost every young person knows him, this is definitely Rand trying to be cool with the young peeps. The left will try to use this encounter to destroy Rand and continuing to play on the sexism angle since Dan has a reputation for hot women and not necessarily treating them "properly" whatever that means.

But if this is only on snapchat, we should be alright.

Would be pretty epic if Dan endorsed Rand in the general though.

I suppose you're right. But like we learned in 2008, young people don't vote

I thought 2008 is the prime example of young people voting for the candidate with the most perceived coolness factor.

I wouldn't call what young people do "voting" in most cases.

More like blindly stumbling into the voting booth and ticking boxes next to the candidate you fangirl the hardest over.

Would be cool if he's trying to force the debate on legal online gambling.

He threw a porn star off the roof of a house into a pool, and she broke her foot.

From what I've read, he's a trust fund baby and his father is in prison for corporate crimes. It seems that he likes to post a lot of pictures of himself with guns, animals, and hookers. He threw a pornstar off a building and apparently made a homemade explosive, he also likes to gamble. I personally don't care about the guy's lifestyle, just wondering what is the angle?

    Showing support for online gambling?

Maybe, to set himself apart as one of the 2(?) candidates, who doesn't want to outlaw online gambling?

Sheldon Adelson is hosting a Republican Jewish Coalition meeting this weekend, and it appears that neither Rand Paul or Chris Christie are attending - at least that's what the article below suggests.

Adelson doesn't want the competition online gambing would bring (though he says it's about "the children", and such ) - but both Rand and Christie are in favor of it. It's already legal in the state of NJ.

GOP CONTENDERS GATHER AT ‘SHELDON ADELSON PRIMARY’ IN VEGAS
    by JOEL B. POLLAK 24 Apr 2015

This weekend, leaders of the Republican Jewish Coalition hold their annual spring meeting in Las Vegas–and, as in prior years, many Republican presidential hopefuls will be in attendance. The conference is hosted by Sheldon Adelson, casino magnate, philanthropist and Republican mega-donor.

This year, the contenders in attendance include: Sen. Ted Cruz (TX), Sen. Rob Portman (OH), Gov. Mike Pence (IN), Gov. Rick Perry (TX), and Sen. Lindsey Graham (SC). The keynote speaker at the gala dinner is former President George W. Bush, and Mitt Romney is also featured at a kickoff event.

Last year, one of the major figures at the meeting was former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who has recently fallen out of favor with Adelson and other Jewish conservatives over his embrace of former Secretary of State James Baker. Baker is seen as hostile to Israel and recently addressed the far-left group J Street ...

I wonder if Ted Cruz supports a ban on online gambling?

His dad went to jail for what amounted to insider trading, which is not a crime and should be legal. "Corporate radiers" like his dad are a good thing. His dad is kind of an Irwin Schiff type character. I thought this article was pretty good. http://www.wsj.com/articles/for-deca...ent-1410892550

My favorite quote from the article is "He added: "I would rather starve to death than earn a dollar to feed myself and pay the government a penny of it."

Curious to hear the arguments in favor of insider trading. I can't really see it but anything other than fraud in our current system.

Prices communicate information. Allowing insider trading ensures that all knowledge is best reflected in a stock or commodity. If the price of a stock like Enron is falling precipitously on no news, it at the very least is sending a warning signal that something maybe wrong and you should factor that into your decision making.

And like drug laws, insider trading is victimless which makes it costly and difficult to enforce. And you get the civil liberties abuses that come with having wiretaps and snitches that go with trying to enforce the laws.

It makes sense from an economic, moral, and practical perspective to legalize it. The gov't spent 9 mill just trying to collect from Bilzerian and only got 3 mill.

Then she filed a frivoulous lawsuit. It was not his idea it was Hustler's and she agreed to it.
