Lol--I was thinking something more along these lines in terms of a "Biblical search".

Good point. Since GOD can flat out create people from dust, why was Mary's involvement with the Jesus "begatting" process even necessary or desirable?
Jesus had to have an early component because he experienced death, once for all, as a sacrifice for sin. For him not to have been fully man would have made it impossible to take on the sin penalty for mankind.

Sorry, I really don't think that having a really bad week concluding with rising from the dead is any part of being "fully human", or even necessary.
If his Dad finally chooses to forgive the sins and sinners, just go ahead and do it, preferably without all of the blood and drama.
But that's how God's righteousness is satisfied. I didn't make the rules.

God and Mary didn't have a sexual union. You're still going on about this when its been pointed out to you that you are wrong.
In the incarnation, the eternal Second Person of the Trinity put on flesh. The two nature's never mixed. That is how Jesus can be fully God and fully man.
Problem here is that you make the error of many schismatics in thinking God the father is distinct from the Son. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are of one essence.I thought you said that you read the gospels, RT. You oughtta know this.Originally Posted by John 14:7

But, I am confused about why there are claims in the Bible that Jesus came from King David's lineage. It also states that Joseph came from King David's lineage, but if he's not really Jesus's father, then how can Jesus come from Joseph's lineage?
Anyone?
The reason that God does not "just forgive sins" is because He has a law that is part of His eternal character and that He can never bend on. This law had to be perfectly fulfilled in order for anyone to be able to stand in His presence. Jesus lived a perfect life and His sinless life was imputed to the accounts of God's elect so that they can stand without blemish before God.
It's what Luke 1:27 claims:
To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
Some will argue the context here thinking that it's talking about Joseph, but it's actually referring to Mary the "virgin". It's debatable because the scriptures aren't clear on it.

That verse implies that Joseph's lineage is from David, not Mary. There are other verses that are clear that Joseph's lineage is from David, but nothing showing that Mary is.
It makes me wonder about adopted children who don't know their bloodlines. Can they not claim the bloodlines of their adopted parents? And if its acceptable to claim their adopted heritage, then wouldn't it be okay for Jesus to do the same?

'We endorse the idea of voluntarism; self-responsibility: Family, friends, and churches to solve problems, rather than saying that some monolithic government is going to make you take care of yourself and be a better person. It's a preposterous notion: It never worked, it never will. The government can't make you a better person; it can't make you follow good habits.' - Ron Paul 1988
