Brawndo's got what plants crave. Its got electrolytes.

    H. L. Mencken said it best:

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

Honestly. Rand Paul has much more to gain by appealing to Jesse Ventura, Bill Maher, and Jon Stewart than by continuing to beat his head into the wall trying to get the Breitbart crowd... They are never going to like him, he will never be sufficiently theocratic or internationalist for them. They think they're the "Tea Party" and they think they represent some kind of internal change within the GOP but EVERYBODY on the outside knows they are simply Bush's bible thumping foot soldiers repackaged under the veil of some sort of new movement. The beliefs are the same. Go try bashing Bush/Cheney on any of those pages. The same people who love Ted Cruz love Dick Cheney. They are literally the same old $#@! as before and the American people see through them like scotch tape.

Voted. We need a ton of backup here.

Conservative Review is Cruz-country. My friend Rob Eno is probably the only Rand-friendly writer over there, the rest are Cruz shills like Steve Deace.

If you read the Breitbart user comments on a daily basis, he is generally supported.

I meant it as a general statement. It's no secret that the hawkish/more religious and more anti-amnesty "Tea Partiers" can't stand Rand and believe complete lies/fabrications about his positions (i.e. that he supports amnesty). There's no getting through to these people. By pandering to idiots who could care less about facts/reality he's gaining very little if any ground and only pissing off the very people he's trying to get to consider him ------ i.e. the independents and skeptical liberals who he's trying to convince he is a "different kind of Republican"... the ones who might say he's their "favorite Republican" but aren't sure if they could actually vote for him.... The ones who in many cases will say they liked his father more but aren't sure about Rand because of said pandering to the evangelicals/neocons.... They HAVE to see him as still being that "different kind of Republican".... the minute that he becomes, in their minds, interchangeable with Rubio/Cruz/Walker, he loses both the primary and any chance at the general.

There has been a major schism in the Tea Party for those who haven't been following it. There is one half that are composed of the Bush leftovers and there is another half comprised of Paleos, libertarians and other conservative types that see the big picture. He'll never get the Bush holdovers or at least in sizable amounts.

Well, first of all you should all realize that 89% for Cruz is not the correct number. Which indicates something funky is going on here. Clearly some large Cruz faction has dumped all their votes into the poll, this shouldn't concern anyone.

Besides, remember that Ted Cruz's popularity and name recognition spiked when he announced his run. This is his first little "surge", it's nothing to freak out about. It's a looong game, the racers have barely left the starting blocks.

You are lumping a whole lot of different people together there.

The Conservative Review is pretty much in line with teo-conservatism. Tea Party, yet very pro-Israel which leads to support for some noeconservative foreign policy positions. They won't be supporting Jeb Bush.
"Foreign aid is taking money from the poor people of a rich country, and giving it to the rich people of a poor country." - Ron Paul
"Beware the Military-Industrial-Financial-Pharma-Corporate-Internet-Media-Government Complex." - B4L update of General Dwight D. Eisenhower
"Debt is the drug, Wall St. Banksters are the dealers, and politicians are the addicts." - B4L
"Totally free immigration? I've never taken that position. I believe in national sovereignty." - Ron Paul

Maybe not, but they will parrot the exact Bush doctrine and will go crazy on you if you question it whatsoever.

Voted twice I think. I don't know if it makes any difference though. Rand still at 11%.

It must be either rigged or broken; they should both be bouncing up and down at least a little.
