Yes. Last year around 1,500 people attended. This year, I heard only 1,750 tickets will be sold. The first batch of 250 regular tickets are sold out. The next batch of 250 is for sale now. It is only $65, please buy tickets for yourself and any adults you are bringing with you ASAP. People under age 18 are free.

I have advice. If you are planning on staying at Roger's Campground and hotel, bring ear plugs and baby wipes. Even though there are slow volume hours at night, sometimes people get drunk and still make noise. Also, you might get tired and want to take a nap during the day. Ear plugs help. The number of people attending the event, especially on Friday and Saturday is more than the old campground is designed for, especially the water systems. The last two years in a row, there have been times were certain bathrooms have been closed down. Spending a dollar on wipes and another dollar on ear plugs just makes sense. You might want to spend another dollar on sun screen, and maybe a few other items. Dollar Tree is great with no taxes either.

If you are driving up I-93 to get to the campground, stop at the massive rest area liquor store and stock up on liquor and wine. Don't worry, there is another liquor store in town, right next to the grocery store.

It rains in NH so make sure your tent fly is water proof. Buy a spray can at Wal-mart if you need to do so.

I get one week off for vacation every year. Porcfest is something I'd like to attend but there are just better places to visit. Hopefully some day I will be there.

New England is the region of the country where marijuana legalization polls best. It is, along with the Pacific Northwest, where usage is highest. New England was Ron Paul's 2nd best region in 2012. His best region was Northern New England

Edit: I should add that we don't have statewide referendums in New Hampshire so it isn't up to the people, it's up to the legislature and the governor. Our current governor campaigned in support of limited decriminalization. A bill came out this year for limited decriminalization. She has already spoken out against the bill, going back on her campaign statement

I just spent the day in New Hampshire at Liberty Forum thrown by the awesome liberty lovers at the Free State Project. Great speakers from Shem Kellogg for New Hampshire to David Boaz from The Cato Institute to Nick Gillespie from Reason Magazine. If you're stuck in a state surrounded by people who don't feel the same way about liberty that you do, look into joining the Free State Project at the link below. Thanks for the tips! I'm an active duty Marine, so I'm quite accustomed to loud, obnoxious drunks. As of right now, I'll likely stay at the Cabot Inn. I'd like to get in contact with some Free Staters and just get a better idea of what to expect, how to move around, and not feel like I'm all by my lonesome. All my friends, family, and fellow marines know how excited I am to go to Porcfest and move to the Free State, but none of them seem very interested themselves.

Specific questions:
Should I stay all week, or just a few days? I have plenty of leave days, I'm just frugal with my money.
Should I rent a car?
How will I eat?

Things of that nature. Rarely have I taken a true personal trip for myself, so I just want to fill in some of the blanks.

I've done it both ways. When I didn't live in NH, I wanted the most bang for my buck. The largest expense for many people is the expense of flying/renting a car or driving to the event. Things really start to ramp up on Thursday, so I'd do Thursday - Sunday for sure. You could come early, do some hiking, check out some near-by towns, look at tourist sites and so on. The ticket price is the same if you stay 8 days or 2 and you already paid for it. It is easier to get to know folks at the event when less stuff is going on.

Should I rent a car?

If it is your first time in NH and you are flying into the Boston or Manchester airport, I recommend renting a car. Often times, you get a daily discount if you rent a car for a week vs. 2-3 days. This way you will be able to get to the event without relying on other folks, folks that might be hard to hook up with and are going to charge you anyway. There is no bus to the isolated town of Lancaster.

How will I eat?

There is a government approved restaurant on site. It servers breakfast. There is also a very small store that has food, including refrigerated food. There is a grocery store and are several restaurants in town. There will be 10-20 vendors selling some type of food. Last year there were a few food trucks, and a bunch of agorist venders in Agora Valley. I know you said motel but the sites have spots for campfires. So you go use someone's spot or the main fire pit to make camp food like hotdogs, smores, and corn.

This was the most popular PorcFest food vender ever. Some years there have been several bbq vendors and several bacon vendors. It varies. There is a free stater run CSA that does a full pig roast.

My point is, you aren't alone in that thought Agorists have come up with similar ideas and tried to capitalize on them, sometimes with great success.

Okay, so you have the tickets. If you are staying at Roger's Campground, you are going to want to call Rogers and register a site. If want to be a vendor and set-up shop in Agora Valley, the FSP is handling that, so you will need to get your site through the FSP. Details on vending are expected to be announce on 3/20/15.

I don't know what the rules are but you may have to book a campsite for several days to stay at Roger's during PorcFest. If you aren't looking to spend the whole week at PorcFest, but want to stay at Roger's, you might want to find someone else to share the campsite with you, to cut costs.

I believe children camp free, but there may be a limit. The first 2 adults on a campsite are free. There might be a fee for each additional adult. Feel free to let Roger's Campground know how many people are in your party when you make you reservation.

If you are just a single person and don't mind camping on a large site shared by a lot of single adults, you can usually camp at the Alt Expo site. This option is less expensive and less regulated. The downside, you will be camping really close to a bunch of people you don't know. Alt Expo runs it's thing at http://altexpo.org/ The details might not be known until a couple weeks before PorcFest. If the campground sells out, this might be your best option to still camp on site for PorcFest.

Some people rent big cars for the week. They use their cars as tents on their campsite.

The vendor information was released today. If you have never been to PorcFest, I do not recommend vending your first year without a great deal of thought put into your vending plan.

Vendors are a welcome and celebrated component of the Porcfest experience. The downtown commercial district of PorcFest is called Agora Valley.

Vending at PorcFest is a 7 day event. With nearly two thousand attendees, you’ll have many days to build up relationships with your customers! All food, goods and services vendors are welcome.

My guess is most people are coordinating via email, Facebook messages or something like that. The website the FSP encouraged folks to use last year is now only for business accounts. As you mentioned, there is still the FSP Forum. It is theoretically possible to take public transportation to PorcFest, too. You can take a plane to Manchester NH, Boston MA, Portland ME, or South Burlington VT. All of those airports offer several car rental options. There are buses that regularly go from Boston and Manchester to Littleton, NH.
