Winter porn: "Slurpee" ocean waves off Nantucket

Dang! Have you ever seen waves get so cold they turn to slurpee? We haven't. So when surfer/photographer/Stay Wild contributor Jonathan Nimerfroh showed us these sweet shots he captured in Nantucket we had to share.

When we asked Jonathan what the fawk this was all about he said, "Just been super cold here. The harbor to the main land is frozen solid. No boats running. But yea, the day after I took these it actually froze up the shoreline for 200 yards out. Solid ice. I was totally tripping when I pulled up to the beach and saw this."

Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.

I've been reading around the internet, we have around ten more years of this crap to look forward to. Something about solar output is down a little. Thing is, they also made a statement as to this moderating the 'Climate Change' and it would be far worse if the solar activity hadn't changed it.

Nice. It should help with the clarity of the water too.

    Global Warming
Will Looming Spikes Change Minds on Warming?

    boogity, boogity.

Papers in two leading journals this week reaffirmed that the warming effects of a substantial chunk of our greenhouse gas pollution have been avoided on land for the last 15 to 20 years because of a phase in a decades-long cycle of ocean winds and currents.

With Pacific trade winds expected to slacken in the years ahead, the studies warn that seas will begin absorbing less of global warming’s energy, and that some of the heat they’ve been holding onto will rise to the surface.
and then we have this, from the very same article.
What Do Our Oceans Reveal About Global Warming?
A new NASA study has revealed that the ocean abyss has not warmed in the past few years. What does this mean for global warming?

On the West Coast we have been drier and warmer than average. Drought continues. Maybe we can get things balanced out a bit- send some moisture our way and we can give you a bit more heat!

It’s been so cold and snowy in New England that icebergs are washing up on Cape Cod

    More pics at link.

A brutal winter’s worth of snow and ice is washing up on the beaches of Cape Cod in the form of enormous, iceberg-like boulders.

The giant, human-sized boulders of ice ran aground in Wellfleet, Mass., over the weekend. WBZ meteorologist Eric Fisher says it might be a “once-in-a-generation” event. We imagine Boston is hoping the same.

Yet the global warming propagandists keep on saying this was 19th warmest winter on record.

Cold comfort: Despite deep blankets of snow across much of US experts say this winter was the 19th warmest since records began – and for five states it was the warmest EVER winter
