"More proof! The Lewis County prosecutor and Sheriff just said they would NOT ARREST OR CHARGE people for what we did here. This has huge implications, because for any prosecutor to charge an individual after this point, would raise the issue of selective enforcement. Sure they could try and prosecute folks. But now that 594 has been nullified by the people, enforcement is unlikely to work. Could big money resurrect this and try and make it enforceable? Maybe. But that why we continue to nullify and ignore this lawless action. The more we do, the more authority we place behind our actions"...

    Excellent!

I'd like to see the protests surrounding the police killing in Staten Island more focused on buy/sell/trade of loosie cigarettes.

    NULLIFY FTW!

'We endorse the idea of voluntarism; self-responsibility: Family, friends, and churches to solve problems, rather than saying that some monolithic government is going to make you take care of yourself and be a better person. It's a preposterous notion: It never worked, it never will. The government can't make you a better person; it can't make you follow good habits.' - Ron Paul 1988

    Selective enforcement is common practice.

    Hooboy...

This is wishful thinking, in all likelihood - though I will be very gladly proved wrong. I hold this opinion because Theye don't give a tinker's damn about selective enforcement, because it is a non-issue. Another term for "selective enforcement" is "discretion". Of course a handful of cops are not going to start a fight they know they cannot win. They may be psychopaths, but they are not quite that stupid.

The issue is most likely far from settled. Just because one county's prosecutor said he will not file charges, it does not follow that those in other counties will not. I certainly does not mean that they cannot. The statute is on the books and until it is stricken therefrom, it remains a option of enforcement.

I have no idea why you're so happy about this. A little happy, very understandable, but I would not venture much beyond that.

These people don't have to enforce the law consistently. They almost never do that. But when someone draws their ire... well, you know that score, I presume.

There is only one correct way: freedom. All other solutions are non-solutions.

It appears that artificial intelligence is at least slightly superior to natural stupidity.

Until that law is repealed, there is only defiance, not success.
Out of every one hundred men they send us, ten should not even be here. Eighty will do nothing but serve as targets for the enemy. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, upon them depends our success in battle. But one, ah the one, he is a real warrior, and he will bring the others back from battle alive.

Duty is the most sublime word in the English language. Do your duty in all things. You can not do more than your duty. You should never wish to do less than your duty.
