Why Israeli settlements expansion surges when a democrat is in the White House?

Less settlement expansion when Christian based Bush was in the white house but surge in Settlements when Clinton or Obama were in White House. What explains that?
Democrats are called paaty of israel but is that all or some other dynamic in play?
Bush was so tough on zionists towards later part of his term that Israeli PM Sharon ended up in coma till he passed away.

Looks like they were growing faster under Bush according to the charts. Percentage-wise the growth was bigger from 2003- 2008 than it was from 2008- 2013.

Even when you ppl criticize Israel justifiably, you scream at the top of your lungs that you're ignorant and refuse to spend ten seconds learning about this topic. The tweet you're referring to answers your question: NETANYAHU. Its not Obama. Its Netanyahu.

Although he is a strange political animal, Trump expected to act as a Republican on this issue:

Israel works to legalize West Bank outposts before Trump arrival

Trump is expected to ask Netanyahu to curb settlement activity...

Israel created a new committee to advance the legalization of West Bank outposts and illegal settler homes, prior to the arrival of US President Donald Trump.

Outposts have been a source of contention between Israel and past US Administrations, which had asked Israel to remove the fledgling communities, some 100 of which dot the West Bank hilltops.

Of course it matters when looking at 4-8 years spans trends. During Bush Presidency, less settlements were built compared to Clinton's Presidency.

You don't see sharp spike during Obama years?
Granted infamous Andrew Adler threat scandal also happened during Obama years, still there is significant difference.

Bush made this happen and as a result invoked wrath of G-d by way of Katrina hurricane and Israeli PM Sharon's coma:

Jewish Rabbi: Hurricane Katrina is Punishment for the American support for Gaza pullout
    September 7, 2005
God wanted to punish the U.S. President George W. Bush for his support for the unilateral disengagement plan, in which Israel evacuated 21 settlements in the Gaza Strip and four minor ones in the northern West Bank, said the Shas spiritual leader and former Chief Sephardic Rabbi Ovadia Yosef said Tuesday.

Trump offered no proposals as to how to achieve peace in Israel other than to say it would be a nice thing if it happened. Every president since Eisenhower has tried.
