Cool Tom Woods & Bob Murphy announce weekly "anti-Krugman" podcast for 2015

The Liberty Movement is about to get its very own "Bob & Tom Show" ... oh, yeah, baby!

Bob Murphy was Tom Woods' guest on the 21 November 2014 episode of the The Tom Woods Show (see 'tube below).
At the end of the show, they announced that they will be doing a new, weekly podcast together, starting sometime in "early 2015."
Each week's podcast will be devoted to discussing, dissecting and/or demolishing Paul Krugman's New York Times column for that week.

These two intellectual heavyweights will slice and dice Krugman. I can't wait!

Meh, I like Tom Woods, but this seems kind of petty. I don't really get what everyone thinks is so great about Bob Murphy, he's constantly talking about how wrong Krugman is but his predictions don't seem to be any more accurate. Double digit inflation is always "just around the corner."

How many idiot columns does it take to thoroughly discredit the Nobel Prize?
I too have been a close observer of the doings of the Bank of the United States...When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank...You are a den of vipers and thieves. I have determined to rout you out, and by the Eternal, I will rout you out!

What predictions has Bob Murphy made that have been inaccurate? He once made a bet with another economist about what the effects of QE on CPI would be. He lost the bet. Other than that, he doesn't make those kinds of "predictions." He certainly does not run around saying "double digit inflation is always 'just around the corner.'"

UPDATE: According to Tom Woods (see the 24:00 mark in the 'tube below), the "Contra Krugman" podcast should be starting by the end of this month (September 2015).

The launch may have been delayed due to (among other things) the fact that Bob had to move to Texas (where he now has a position as research assistant professor at the Free Market Instute at Texas Tech University).

Episode 1: Contra Krugman: Who, What, Why and How
    http://contrakrugman.com/ep-1-contra...t-why-and-how/
    MP3: http://traffic.libsyn.com/contrakrug...ra_Krugman.mp3

Welcome to Contra Krugman! In this inaugural episode, Tom Woods and Bob Murphy explain what they’re seeking to accomplish with the podcast, what the format will be, the occasional guests they’d like to see, and much more. Enjoy, and please subscribe to the show!

Episode 2: Is More Government Debt What the World Needs Now?
    http://contrakrugman.com/ep-2-is-mor...rld-needs-now/
    MP3: http://traffic.libsyn.com/contrakrug..._More_Debt.mp3

Paul Krugman says that all the concern over debt is misplaced — that what we need, in fact, is still more government debt. All we can say is: it’s time for Contra Krugman.

Episode 3: Trump Is Right About Economics, Says Krugman
    http://contrakrugman.com/ep-3-trump-...-says-krugman/
    MP3: http://traffic.libsyn.com/contrakrug...ys_Krugman.mp3

Paul Krugman says Donald Trump is right to question supply-side orthodoxy about taxation of the wealthy. And Krugman says it’s a myth that cutting those taxes helps the economy.

Lots of great stuff in today’s episode: even Keynesian researchers disagree with Krugman; it’s not true that the job creation numbers under Obama are better than in the 1980s; and how Krugman can claim to be right no matter what happens.

I get the feeling just living and breathing is contra-Krugman. Woods uses Hoppe here -great stuff from end of August:

Is Krugman still around? Last I saw of him on the Sunday morning blather shows, he said that regulation is good for small business. The three equally prog guests on the same panel looked at him like he was a cross between the class dunce and an alien, and said, uh, no.

    It was great.

Ep. 4 Krugman Hearts Solar and Wind, Attacks Fossil Fuels

    http://contrakrugman.com/ep-4-krugma...-fossil-fuels/

This week, Krugman says only GOP intransigence, and devotion to Big Energy, can account for conservative hostility to renewable energy. Wind and solar power aren’t for hippies anymore, he says; they’re growing by leaps and bounds and becoming more and more plausible as substantial energy sources for the United States.

We disagree, and we’ve got the numbers on our side.

Ep. 19 Enough About Inequality Already; Here’s the Truth

Krugman wonders how rich “we need” the rich to be. A strange question, but you know the answer: less rich than they are now. We’re then treated to a lecture on income inequality. We don’t like lectures.

Is this the best episode yet of Contra Krugman? Tom thinks so….
