    Not a candidate but a pretty big deal:

    Measure P (Bans Fracking/High Intensity/Cyclic Steam Injection Drilling in Santa Barbara County)

    [26.88% of precincts reporting]

    Yes: 17,674 (34.35%)

    No: 33,783 (65.65%)

    WOW!!! Chris Mitchum 'Tea Party Darling' almost takes out longtime progressive incumbent Rep Lois Capps (D) in very liberal district!!

    U.S. Representative, 24th District

    Lois Capps: 26,474 (51.4%)

    Chris Mitchum: 25,056 (48.6%)

    Yep. I forgot that this is on the ballot in Texas as well. And that's a really big deal considering it's Texas.
